Had a consult to tighten loose skin...set surgery date....Went in to tighten up loose skin and came out looking like this.... can someone let me know what treatment would repair the damage....i had consults with severeal doctors and it seemed to be a simple procedure....i had no idea circulation could be compromised during surgery from pulling too tightly....

I saw your pictures in my email update but they don't come through when I open it up to real self....just incase my comment dose t make sense. Looking at the incision it's hard to tell what was actually done to you?? Was it a tummy tuck? My concern for you now is muscle repair "done" but now you have a large scar on you tummy

Sorry I didn't mean to send the comment yet....what I was saying is now you have a large scar down the middle of your tummy (and that will fade a lot) but what result were you looking for? Did you ps and you discuss the so called end game? I had muscle repair and the extra skin removed leaving a scar that runs across my hips. I've never seen the prcedure done the way yours was done and I'm curious why that was the approach taken. Still really early in the healing so take a lot of care with rest, good healthy food (you may not be hungry but you need your strength) and TLC....pamper yourself because you not only need it but you deserve it!! Sending love and well wishes from Kate in vancouver bc

The picture only showed up on my real self update email....when I clicked on carliene's profile it doesn't show....I only commented because I was worried about her seeing as I've never seen or heard of the procedure performed that way....vertical from breast to pelvic????

A procedure to only excise excess skin after weight loss, childbirth, etc., should use a horizontal incision below the bikini line. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking at but I would like to offer some advice:
Find the best plastic surgeon revisionist you can find and then find two more and then after deciding what to do, go back to the original surgeon and ask for a refund. I can't imagine why you were charged so much for such a simple operation. Take lots of pictures and report the doctor to your state's Composite Board of Medical Examiners (or whatever it's called in your state). I have never in all my many years of researching tummy tucks, etc., heard of a vertical incision. A really good plastic surgeon can perform miracles revising scars. Just do your homework in finding someone. Realself is good to search and ratemds.com is also good. Best of luck.

So much money almost $12,000 for a tummy tuck. I saw the one picture in my email, but no pictures are showing here. The one picture is real horrific to say the least. A vertical incision that is open and thick. Even the belly button is not right. My God! I am so sorry for you. This should never have happened. I don't like my scar either, but this is unacceptable. You are so at risk for infection. Please keep this incision clean. It you develop a fever or discharge, pain, an accumulation of fluid go to the emergency room. You say your Doctor is a perfectionist? His work shows he is not. He hacked up your stomach. I pray you heal. This scar is going to be very visible even with time. I want you to know the truth. I don't mean to upset you. I am thinking of a tattoo for mine. Maybe you an get one too later on. A scar revision may make yours worse. God bless you. I hope you heal fast.
