My ovaries hurt every time I see a baby. I...

My ovaries hurt every time I see a baby. I literally got teary holding a newborn baby girl recently. And I have NO reason to do that! I HAVE 3 wonderful cuddly ENERGETIC kids...under the age of 5. While I was trying to get the hubby on board with a 4th (mind you I never thought I would have more then 2 kids tops), he isn't going for it. So I decided to get the ultimate Anti-Push present. A Mommy Makeover.

I would have NEVER done this. Seriously before March of this year I probably would have been judgy at anyone who DID. But for some reason one of my girlfriends took the plunge and she started to push away those judgements in my head. She looked and felt amazing while I looked down at my baby gut that wasn't going anywhere and started to wonder. I didn't look THAT bad. My boobs were still symmetrical but they lacked the OOPMFH they once had. I still was sporting a 2 piece although there was a definite pooch. I didn't have stretch marks. I was lucky quite honestly but I didn't like looking at myself naked any longer. So finally I set up a consultation with her doctor. The intention was for me to go in there and him tell me was all I needed was lipo. That my gut wasn't in need of a full tummy tuck. That my breasts didn't need a lift. Well that didn't happen. While I wanted implants to increase the fullness on the upper part of my boobs, I required a lift as well which involves some scary cuts around your nipple and then down and around the base. I ended up having lipo done on my bra area on my back as well as love handles and then lipo and the tummy tuck on the front. Implants were 265cc gummy bears. Total lipo was 3.5L. I chose to stay at the hospital (I did the surgery there and not the surgery center) Nurses were on call as needed except a bit slow on the drugs. They only give it to you on demand and I wasn't as demanding as I should have been. They made me try to walk a few hours later and I made it as far as the door to my room before feeling like I would pass out. So back to bed I went. I made it down the hall the next morning.

Once home, the first few days were a fog of naps and pain meds. Honestly a blur. What wasn't a blur was that by day 5 I hadn't pooped and I had hemorrhoids the size of walnuts. Colace, myralax and a fleet enema didn't help. If you asked me then if this surgery was worth it, the answer would have been a resounding no. Another enema (after a crying call to the doctor) and what resulted was me basically living on the toilet for a day. By then my body is so traumatized that it wouldn't even relax enough to pee. Day 5 was misery.

I'll update more in another post (I need to take more pics)!

Dr J has a very calming presence and bed side manner. He is very confident without being arrogant and I trusted his abilities. His office manager is not the best with follow through but if you can get past that book with him! (I'll update more as I progress)
