Restylane done under my eyes and juvederm in my nasolabial folds. It changed my face and idk how I feel. This was done Friday afternoon, it is now Tuesday. I see I have developed long vertical bulges/shadows on the sides of my face since the injections (especially when I smile?) What should I do? Day 4 and feeling self conscious:( How long will this take to go away?

She was very nice and the injections were nearly painless, I also liked that she was a female plastic surgeon so I thought she would be more in tune with what I was wanting. I do wish there was a follow up scheduled though just to make sure everything settled how it was supposed to.. I know fillers aren't a big surgery but it is a big change for me and I wish my hand was being held!! (But I could be needy, maybe most patients are fine with this)

As we discussed in clinic and over the phone, a patient needs to wait at least a week (best to wait 10 days) to judge your final results. The area under the eyes can be unforgiving in terms of swelling immediately after injections. Drink plenty of water, sleep on an extra pillow (for head elevation) and consider taking arnica. Return to clinic after the 10 day period if you continue to have any concerns.
