2 year update with Photo’s

I know these aren’t the best photo’s but this is a 24 month update. Pretty much very happy with the overall outcome. My nostrils look way better and my nose doesn’t look like it’s been “operated” on anymore. I didn’t get the perfect outcome (I’m very picky) but if I had gotten this outcome the first time around I would have never gotten a revision so that should say a lot. Functionally, one side of my nose is so much better in terms of breathing, the other side feels the same, not any worse, just the same. Now I just cross my fingers my nose holds up over time and doesn’t collapse like MJ haha. The one outcome I didn’t expect is that those earplug headphones wouldn’t fit in my ear anymore - Dr. Cochran had to take cartilage from my ear. You can’t tell by looking at my ear but I do have trouble keeping headphones in my one ear now. Oh well small price to pay. Good luck on your journey everyone, I know how frustrating finding a good surgeon is and/or not getting the the outcome you were expecting the first time around.

Day 2-3 - the worse days in terms of feeling/looking swollen/bruised

Almost exactly 24 hours later my face and nose really started to swell. I would say maximum swelling was around 48 hours later. On day 3 the swelling started to come down. I flew home DAL to SFO about 48 hours later and looking back I should have waited an extra day. My whole face was so swollen especially around the eyes.

Day 1

It's been 24 hours since my surgery and I feel great. No pain. So far little swelling. No nausea. Lots of energy. I have to remind myself to just take it easy.

On the day of surgery when I arrived at the hospital everything moved really fast. I remember the anesthesiologist came in and hooked up something to my IV and the next thing I knew I woke up in recovery. Coming out of sleep kind of sucks but overall not bad. I was not in any pain so that was a relief.

I can already tell there is a difference in my new nose. It's hard to see exactly because there is swelling at the tip and too much tape around it but the nostrils look a little better. Dr Cochran said the surgery went well and he was able to achieve everything we discussed. It's going to be a looong week waiting to get the splints/tape off.
