1 month post accutane
Hello everyone! I just wanted to update everyone...I've officially been off accutane almost 1 month. The moisture in my lips have returned and also the color. On accutane my lips were a pinkish color and now they're brown like before accutane. It took roughly 1.5 to 2 weeks for the moisture in my lips to return. My face is still dry but not as dry while I was on accutane. I have had two very tiny bumps come up on my left cheek but NO PIMPLES thank God! They were kind of like small oil bumps. My only issue now is my hyperpigmentation UGH! My forehead and around my mouth are darker than my cheeks. I'm too scared to try fading cream because I'm scared I'll break out again. Chemical peels are out the question...they sound too harsh! My doctor prescribed me some retin-a that I can use 30 days after being off accutane but I'm scared of trying that too lol. I'd hate for my skin to start peeling and continue to still be super sensitive to the sun. I'm considering letting time take its course, no chemical products and keeping sunscreen on. Any other advice? Will drinking more water help? Also is there any advance on lightening my lips?
5 DAYS LEFT!!!!
Where has time gone? I can't believe I only have 5 days left on Accutane. I'll be going to the door in 2 days for my last check up regarding Accutane. My doctor told me I have to give one more blood sample to make sure everything is still okay with my liver. Now I just hope and pray life after Accutane is just as successful and that I get my normal skin color back. As I mentioned before, I've gotten darker even to the point of changing my makeup but of course smooth clear skin was my goal! Now I have clear skin...with a little tan! Lol I feel like my skin discoloration will be a easy fix! Hopefully....
Irritation On Hands
I just wanted to show y'all how the irritation has been forming on the top of my hands over the past few months.
1St: The top of my hand start feelings sensitive
2nd: Red marks form on top of the sensitivity
3rd: Small scabs forms on top of that
4th: After scabs falls off, dark spots are left which eventually fade away.
As I stated from my previous post, my derm gave me medicine to apply once the sensitivity starts to form. She also told me that the irritation is due to being on Accutane.
