Splint removal day

Stitch removal was not painful at all. Not sure why I was so nervous. Finally got to see my nose and I am very happy! Tip still swelled and sides are swelled. My neck has sore swollen spots, but getting better everyday!
I want to add a few things I left off my list of things I was thankful for the past week..

*senna laxatives...if I took a pain pill I took a laxative.
*straws! It's hard to drink with the splint on your nose
*and strangely enough a pair of those tacky adult onesies. After I would shower I would feel cold and weak. I would towel off quickly step into the onesie zip it up and rest until I felt like getting up.

Dr Liland says to wait 3 more weeks until
I can start back to the gym. And no blowing my nose yet. Can't say enough great things about him and his team!
I'm going to actually get out of the house today by myself. I still cannot get over the lack of bruising.

Exactly a week post op

I go today to get splint and stitches out.
The week went well. I was surprised how little I bruised especially since both sides of nose were broke.
After gauze was removed the next day I could completely breath through my nose.
Nose had some throbbing but nothing too bad. The neck lipo was more uncomfortable than the nose.
Things I could not have lived without this past week:
*Of course my prescriptions...and I did use at least a half a pain pill a day. And having someone in charge of when meds needed to be taken.
*cool mist humidifier
*POPSICLES!!!
*tissue for my nose
*comfy pj's

I tired easily so just rested a lot.

Will post more after my appointment today ????????

Surgery day when smooth and pretty perfect! Hoping...

Surgery day when smooth and pretty perfect! Hoping I get the names correct...Nurse Angela, scrub nurse Ed, anesthesiologist Karen and if course Dr Liland. Everyone was very nice and this was the first time I did not get nauseous after anesthesia!

I don't think the surgery could have gone any better. Pain level 1-10 I would say maybe a 3.

Only on day 3, but happy so far

This is my second surgery with Dr Liland. Had breast augmentation and stomach lipo 2009. His whole office is professional and compassionate. Dr Liland is easy to talk to and will make you feel at ease.
