Three weeks tomorrow since surgery. I feel great, and while there is still swelling, especially lower eyelids, I am already happy!

My eyelids and brows were drooping so badly, I finally decided to do something about. I did my homework, for more than 3 years, and finally decided on Dr. Lev in Costa Rica. I'd seen his patients online, over and over, with incredible results - and now, after my first week…I'm adding myself to his list of successes! I'm so glad I chose him. Read through my Journey, and I'll post pictures and update often. Dr. Lev made me feel so comfortable, and his coordinator helped so much, I never felt like it "might" be a bad decision. Going overseas alone for surgery is perhaps risky, but Dr. Lev is an artist, and a kind and caring man. And, as a single mom, I could afford the prices. I did it for me - and I'm so glad - already!Surgery went smoothly, I think he said it took 3 or 3 1/2 hours. Funny thing was, I thought that evening after surgery I'd start feeling pain, but I never did.It was warm, swollen and I definitely knew I'd had surgery, but I didn't have any real pain. Never even took an Aleve much less ask for pain pills.If you look at the pictures - you see how it progressed, the bruising etc., but, I met with Dr. Lev 2 days after surgery, 4 days after and again 6 days after. And, staying at Casa Mercedes Recovery Retreat - I was well cared for. I really felt like it was all in control…and all I did was relax and use my gel ice packs!And, since I wanted to drop few pounds in the 2-weeks I'd intended on staying - Mercedes cooked delicious meals for me, making sure my diet was balanced and healthy (cooking all from scratch) - I dropped 3 pounds in 6 days!On the 6th day when Dr. Lev took out my brow stitches (eyelid stitches were out on day 4) - he told me I was healing VERY WELL and could actually go home.Note: Get some dental work done while you're there too. Didi (Dr. Lev's Coordinator can help you set it all up).On the evening of the 6th I went to the Sheraton and flew home on the morning of the 7th day!!

I'd looked and looked, literally all over the world, for a doctor who could help me, and who I could afford. I travel a lot for work, so I'd fly free, but the most important thing was to find the doctor whose patients had surgery like I needed and were HAPPY!! I kept on finding great results - and over and over I saw they were patients of Dr. Lev. He has a wonderful disposition, very down to earth, just a really nice man. I flew in on the 31st, met with Dr. Lev for Pre-Op appt on the 1st, and had surgery the morning of the 2nd. His anesthesiologist, Dr. Greenwood, is just as nice, and they are lifelong friends, a great team. Rating Dr. Lev - you only have 5 starts…he deserves more than that!!
