I've spent oodles of time on this site, learning...

I've spent oodles of time on this site, learning so much from everyone. So I thought I'd post my Mommy Makeover journey.

I'm almost 4 months post gastric sleeve. I started at a lower bmi, 32, so I'll probably hit goal weight after first of the year. So far I'm down 36 lbs, currently at 156lbs. Would love to get to 140, that would make me a solid size 8, maybe even a 6 (I have a good deal of muscle.) I've always had a tummy pooch. Even when I was young, before kids and a gym rat...I was 10% body fat and still didn't have a flat tummy. So I'm definitely doing a tummy tuck. I can't even imagine having a flat stomach, especially now after 2 kids, weight gain, weight loss, and at my age. :) Not sure yet what to do with my breasts. I'm not sure if the lift will give me what I really want and implants scare me a bit. I don't want to be bigger, just fuller...so when we are at the beach I can wear cute sundresses, without a bra, and look good.

I've had two consults so far. The first doctor and staff were okay...I felt a bit rushed out of the office. He said a TT, MR, and BL. Second consult was yesterday with Dr. Aaron Smith and I really liked him! He spent considerable time with me, explained everything and went into enough detail where I felt like he was talking to me...rather than just in general. His office and surgical center is 10 minutes from my house, so that's a plus. About $15,500 for TT, MR, Lipo, BL and BA. That's alot of money, so I need to start saving. I'd love to be in a position to do this in February. (Of course, just took both kids to the orthodontist and also have to come up $5k for braces.)

He was very clear...recovery from a TT is painful. He said at least 2 weeks off of work. After reading people's journey's here, I'm thinking maybe 3 weeks???? On a scale of 1-10, how bad was the pain during the first couple of weeks? Pain meds tend to not work on me...they just put me to sleep.

I'll get brave and post pics soon. Looking forward to making some new friends during this journey. :)

Still getting consults

I'm down to 151lbs, so I've lost 41lbs!!! Wearing a size 10 but would really like to be in single digits.

I'm getting a consult with Dr. Campanile in Denver. His CLASS tummy tucks look incredible. Looking forward to meeting him and learning more.

My hubby is totally supportive, I'm so blessed. Just need to get the cash together, as I really don't want to finance. But I also want to get it done in early spring. I start a Ph.D program in the summer and think surgery would be very distracting once I start.

I'll get brave and post pics soon. :)

Holy cow...just scheduled MM

I can't believe I'm doing this! I'm scheduled for March 18 with Dr. Aaron Smith in Colorado Springs. TT, MR, BL with small implant. I'd prefer to have surgery in earlier March, hopefully they will have a cancellation and I can get in sooner.

I'm posting a couple of pics....Blech!!! This is a great reminder why I am doing this.

Hubby thinks I'm beautiful no matter what, but I hope that with the change he will find me even sexier. I know with the weight loss he has. :)

Currently I'm 143lbs and have been this weight since Dec 1. I'm 5'6". I'd like to get down to 135 before surgery, but more importantly I want to put on more muscle. So I need to increase my time at the gym, especially working my core.

How do I get through these next two months without going crazy????

I had a Mommy Makeover with Dr. Smith March 2015 and two years later I am still thrilled with my results!! He is professional, yet personable. Unlike other doctors I consulted with where I felt I was being sold unnecessary procedures, Dr. Smith set realistic expectations, talked to me in a respectful way, and explained things with as much detail as I wanted. All of his staff were terrific! I am 48 and look fabulous in a bikini! I completely trust Dr. Smith and have recommended him to several friends.
