2+ years later!

Having a MM was one of the best things I've ever done!!! It's two years later and I have so much confidence. I love how flat my tummy is...even if I gain a few pounds. I'm 48 and love wearing my bikini. My doctor, Aaron Smith in Colorado Springs, is awesome!!! I'm going next month for just a little bit of lipo to make the transformation complete. I trust him completely. Best wishes to all you lovely women who are taking this journey. It is pretty rough the first few weeks, but completely worth it in the end!!!

You look awsome!! You rock the bikini!!!!
Thank you!
On what part of your body are you having lipo? You look great!
Thank you! Abdomen....because I still feel pretty think. Hips, inner and outer thighs....just a bit. Doc wants to be careful because if he takes too much I can have sagging skin.
I've been thinking about a MM since realising I didn't have the snap back post baby body so many others around me seem to have. I have a 3 year old and hoping to have another baby next year (fingers crossed) but after that I really want to take the plunge and do this. I used to have a great body but I fell in love, got fat and happy. A year after my having my baby I slipped a disc and was in a bad way for 3 months. Ended up having back surgery which did my body shape and tummy no favours. I'm the biggest I've ever been, bigger than after having a baby so I know if I'm to do this I'll need to work hard to get to my ideal weight. It's not like I don't exercise ad I eat well but will need to be super strict. It'll be tough though, about 14kg I'd like to lose and that's before the next baby. What scares me most is the pain you describe from the TT. I remember after childbirth being so scared of pain but I guess it's temporary. Out in interest how many surgeons did you have a consultation with before you decided on the one? Btw you look fantastic!!
I had consultants with 4 docs...I think. Looked at a lot more online with their reviews. The pain was bad...can't lie. But it got better every day. I'd do it again in a heartbeat, because it has made a huge difference in the way I look and feel. Like you said, totally temporary. I'm so sorry about your back....that must be so hard, especially with a little one. Take it easy on yourself, there is a season for everything. Enjoy the babies!!! When you're completely done, then it may be time for a MM. my kids were 13 and 15 when I finally did it.
It would be great if you posted some new pics...your journey is inspiring. Im interested in what the scars look like after so long...
Sure! I am taking some photos this week and I'll be sure to show scars. I am very fair, so my scars are pretty red. Totally worth it though.

2+months...feeling and looking fabulous!!

Hi everyone. It's been awhile since I posted. Went to India and all went very well. No complications or pain at all even did a 5 hour hike in the jungle...just a wee bit of lower back pain.

Started Ph.D. Program so with that, work, and my family I am super busy. Loving my results though!! Perfect...nope. But I love the way I look in clothes and a bathing suit. Need to workout more to get some muscle back. I did run the stairs at the Academy yesterday, so working on endurance too, I now wear a size 6 in jeans!!! I've never been a size 6.

Sensation is slowly coming back in my nipples. My tummy area is still numb....feels so weird. And I still feel the tightness/pulling from MR. Definitely not pain, I actaully hope it doesn't go away. It's a good reminder.

I have two trips this summer I'm excited about. One is a sisters weekend in Vegas. Definitely will hang in a bikini by the pool. (Need some sun on this very white bod.) Second is a wedding of a college friend. It feels great knowing I won't be embarrassed by the way I look, just the opposite. And being there withmy hot hubby looking great, both with successful careers, terrific kids...well it just feels fabulous!!!

I need to catch up on everyone's progress. I miss hanging out with you gals. Lots of pics to share my results. Hugs to all!!!

Wow! You are looking wonderful! That last picture, side by side is real telling! Huge transformation!
Of the breasts vs tummy...which of the two feels the most healed and normal at this point? Do your implants feel like a part of you now?
Great question. Implants still feel a bit weird, every now and then I move in some way where the make their presence known. Plus that hematoma scare is always in the back of my mind. So I guess it would be my tummy, but the numbness seems more pronounced now than before.
You look FABULOUS!!! Love the b&a pix and the same bikini shots... really awesome! Yes, do go out and get some sun. I have been tanning off/on given the weird weather here in socal, but I'm about 3 shades darker now and have my 1st bikini tan EVER!! So happy for you... Enjoy the new bod!! :D
Thank you!
Looking great! You're rocking that green bikini!!! I still have a lot of numbness in my tummy below my belly button. I've heard that it's very possible that feeling won't return 100% which I feel fine about. I still have tightness too, but I have muscle pain when I workout hard. I hope it continues to improve. Great for you on the size 6! I can relate to you with feeling more confident when I'm around people. Instead of thinking about tucking my belly roll into my pants, I think about how awesome I look. LOL
That numbness may never go away. I realize it's a different procedure (though some similarities in that they're cutting skin and muscle) but with my first c section it was all normal even though I was told this could happen. But with my second one the numbness started around the incision and grew to just below my belly button. That was 11 years ago. I was almost hoping that maybe after my TT I'd get some of the feeling back to the dead zone, as I affectionately refer to it.
You look terrific!!! Glad to hear things went well in India and you'll be showing off more than just your sexy self at the weeding this summer. Have fun, girl :)))

Getting ready for India...CG advice needed

Hi everyone, first off I feel GREAT!!! And I'm loving my results. My weight is down to 136lbs (surgery weight was 140) and my waist is finally shrinking. Down to 29.5 (surgery measurement was 30"). I'm wearing a size 6 in most clothes and had a blast shopping over the weekend. Modeled bikinis for my hubby and he was definitely appreciative. :)

I leave for India Friday morning. I'm wondering what kind of compression garment and bra to wear. With time in the air and with layovers I will be traveling 28 hours (if all goes well.) I'm thinking I should wear my original CG that is not tight anymore...rather loose with minimal compression...because who knows how much swelling will happen with all that travel. Same thing with a bra...something looser to allow for excess swelling. What do you all think?

Any thoughts or other advice? This is definitely the longest trip I've ever been on. I think it's amazing my body has healed in the last few weeks so that it's safe and comfortable to travel.

Walmart spanx type bottoms and tanks these work great this far out if your CG is loose it won't do you much good...walk around as much as you can on the plane as well:-) good luck and safe travels!!!
Dumb question. Do you wear the tanks on top of a bra???
I did;) no dumb questions in this world only great answers:-):-)
Walk as much as you can before your trip, drink as much water as you can stand, and walk up and down the aisle on the plane as much as the stewardesses will let you get away with. Blessings for a safe trip and happy healing!
Thank you! I'll definitely walk as much as I can. Just did a healthy 30 minute brisk walk which felt great.
Girl you're brave to be taking such a long flight! I think you might want to do spanx instead of cg just for the comfort and because you won't have to worry about that stupid hole for the bathroom! I would also avoid foods with a lot of sodium so you don't swell as much, drink lots of water and move as much as you can and bring something for pain, I was very sore after my flight home and that was only 3hrs! Enjoy have a great time!
Thank you. I'll also walk during layovers. Low sodium food should be interesting....flying Qatar Airways so I don't think I'll be very familiar with what they serve. :)
BEWARE of the water!!! I have a friend that travels there frequently for work, and she said you can't even trust the bottled water in India. Only the soda. IDK...never been there. Just be careful.
Yes, I've heard you need to closely listen when you are opening bottled water to hear if it indeed was factory sealed. I'm being anti-diahhrea meds. I've had Hep A and Hep B shots. I'm taking typhoid and malaria meds. I'm SO SICK OF TAKING MEDICINE!!!
I would suggest a sundress with a spanx tank and bottoms two separate piece so to accommodate bathrooms visit and still compress for the flight. Save travels love.
I think it's time to go shopping again, I don't have any of those tanks....yet. Thanks!!
I have the one that you wear your own bra with pretty comfortable Or you could just get the high waisted brief they do have some that are bathroom accessible. It's a long day of travel and you are going to swell no matter what so make sure to take you binder just in case these become to uncomfortable. I know what my first day back to work felt like for 12 hours with the binder on
:) you're so wonderful!
