Wonderful sliding genioplasty experience with the ultimate expert, Dr. Jamali!

From start to finish, my experience with Dr. Jamali and his team has been nothing short of amazing! I have always been self-conscious about my weak chin and after much thought decided to get a sliding genioplasty. I interviewed a few maxillofacial and plastic surgeons in my area (Washington D.C.), but I soon realized that I needed to go with the chin expert in order to achieve my chin goals.Therefore, I set up a skype meeting with Dr. Jamali. Dr. Jamali was very kind, but also straightforward on what to expect. He explained that in order to achieve ideal results, I would have to undergo double-jaw surgery, but that he could increase my facial harmony if he brought my chin forward and shortened it a little bit. His directness, bedside manner, and expertise convinced me that he was the right surgeon for me.I scheduled my surgery soon after my Skype call and Nina and Chris have been extremely accommodating to my tight schedule. During my pre-op appointment, Dr. Jamali has again been completely transparent about the surgery, the risks, and what to realistically expect. He drew my side profile on tracing paper and calculated how much movement would create the ideal facial angle.My chin was moved forward by 6mm, and shortened by 2mm. Dr. Jamali reassured me that if I ever needed anything pre- or post-op, I can just call or text him anytime, which was extremely comforting and helpful. He called me the next day to make sure I feel okay and am not in too much pain. He even reassured me that if I was ever in too much pain to call him directly and he would send in a script for stronger pain medication but I never experienced any pain after surgery that wasn’t manageable with ibuprofen.Dr. Jamali exceeded all expectations and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He did not only give me a beautiful chin, he also fixed my lip incompetence and created a wonderful side profile that suits my face. I highly recommend Dr. Jamali to anyone who is considering a sliding genioplasty and is looking for an excellent surgeon that is caring, kind, and above all, extremely knowledgeable and competent.
