Dr. Jamali Gave Me a Beautiful Chin
From start,to surgery and even follow up - excellent. Dr. Jamali has some of the most skilled hands in the business.
I found Dr Jamali here on realself and read all of his reviews on sliding genioplasty. I experimented with fillers at first. To make up the volume I missed required several syringes of filler and only looked good from certain angles. From the research I did on chin implants, I knew they had a high failure rate. My wish list was
-amazing profile
-more facial symmetry so that my nose appeared smaller and I looked better 'straight on' in photos.
-permanent so i wouldn't have to think about it in anymore
Dr Jamali delivered on all fronts. Including a slight lower side of chin/jaw area that we were able to address in surgery. Chin fillers would never have done that for me.
Immediately after surgery, I was swollen and could only have soups and yogurt. Surprisingly NO real pain. It was awkward to speak and eat but the pain was minimal!
2 weeks post, my friends and family didn't notice. The swelling I noticed was gone in about 6 weeks. The numbness was gone in about 4 weeks.My smile returned about the same time. I flew from out of town so I was really concerned about not having my doctor close but Dr. Jamali followed up with me via email and facetime - after surgery. I flew back to NY and completed my 1.5 year check up.
Everything has healed beautifully. My cousin has a chin implant with a slight scar. I'm happy there are no scars outside of my face and I look very natural.
