foam piece

I couldnt figure out how to reply to a comment with photos so here is the foam and how I wear it. It really helps. im still wearing the compression garment about 6 hours a day despite being 1 month post. I'm still quite lumpy and have two large lumps on either side of my chin.

2 weeks post

So after 2 weeks my neck was looking worse than when I first took off the bandages a few days after surgery, despite massaging it 4x a day. I saw Shannon at Pain & Swelling Solutions, and she helped me so much! She suggested I put a piece of 1/2" malleable foam in between my skin and the compression garment, and also use a product called Renu 28 twice a day. It has made a world of difference. Apparently the seams of the compression garment were wrinkling on my neck and this could have become a permanent thing. I'm hoping it's not too late. Thankfully after Shannon's advice I woke up with a smooth neck for the first time this week on Saturday, 2 weeks post. I still have some horizontal banding, which is to be expected, but not those deep bumps I was getting before. I wish I had known about the foam trick last week. I'm also going to start using ScarAway patches on Week 3 after reading about those from a doctor on the Q&A section here.

1 week post

Bruising is getting much much better, incisions are all closed. I met with Dr. Lotiempo at Elite Body Sculpture for my one week checkup. She said that it looks good but now I need to start aggressively massaging my chin, the bottom part is definitely protruding and swollen despite the compression garment that I've worn about 20 hours a day for the last few days. I have been massaging every morning but she said 4x a day minimum. We made a one month appointment for February 13th and I'm really excited about how I'm going to look by then (even though I'm puffier today than 2 days ago)!
