I Have a Chin! ONE CHIN!
Dr. Farzadmehr (Dr. Mehr) is exceptional. He has changed my life and made me incredibly happy. I went for a consultation for chin and neck liposuction and was impressed by his portfolio of patients. He answered all my questions and I paid my deposit that day.
Surgery day was easy. The only slight discomfort was the local anesthetic injections. Once those were done, I felt no pain. I could feel pressure and movement but zero pain. During the surgery I was comfortable, he played music, and I laid back and waited. I remember thinking the whole time “I can’t wait to see my chin! My ONE chin! Goodbye double chin!”
When finished I got to see a picture of my chin and neckline he took just after surgery and I nearly cried. When I was at home and the numbing wore off I did feel some pain. I was concerned about this so I messaged Dr. Mehr. He FaceTimed me and answered my questions and told me to loosen my head/chin surgical garment (bandage). I’ve never had a doctor respond so quickly and compassionately. I felt better knowing he was there to support me, even just a few hours after surgery.
That week I’d sleep on my back and take the prescribed medication. Sleeping on my back was a challenge at first, but nothing a bunch of pillows can’t help with. Any pain was gone by the third or fourth day. The bruising went away by the end of the first week. The swelling is slowly disappearing. He shared with me that it could take 6 months for it to be completely absorbed by my body.
The key is to wear my surgical bandage as much as possible. I wore my bandage consistently for 2 weeks. Then, when I went back to work (I took 2 weeks off post surgery), I’d wear the bandage when I wasn’t at work. If I could wear the bandage at my job I would. I still wear the bandage daily: any hours not I’m not at work and entire days when I'm off. It’s been 5 weeks since my surgery. I’ve had 3 follow up visits and there are more scheduled in the future.
There are some lumps and hardness in areas on my neck. All to be expected. Dr. Mehr suggested I gentle massage the areas to support their reduction. I’m not worried about them. I know it’s part of the healing process. Every morning, when I take off the bandage, I excited to see my face. I have a definition in my chin and jaw that I’ve never had. I can see my Adam’s apple! Thank you Dr. Mehr for your skill and giving me a confidence I’ve been longing for. I highly recommend this procedure at the hands of Dr. Mehr.
