I’m so glad I finally got this procedure. I feel like I have my life back!
In 2007, I had breast augmentation and I went way too big; 600 cc’s in each. I would have gone even bigger had my Dr. at the time not talked me out of it. What can I say? People make dumb decisions when they’re young and I was no exception. I’ve been dealing with the consequences of that dumb decision ever sense. Not only did my large implants contribute to two herniated disks in my neck, requiring surgery, but after a few years they started looking. . .dare I say it? Matronly? Yes. Matronly is definitely the correct word! The bigger they are the harder they fall, right?! And fall they did; one nipple pointing south and the other. . .southwest at best. It was definitely time to look into some type of corrective surgery and just a matter of finding the right surgeon.

I was researching breast procedures when I stumbled upon Dr. Christian Prada. After reviewing his credentials and checking out his photo gallery, I knew I’d found my surgeon. I think what impressed me the most was the consistency of his work. His case photos mirrored the way I pictured my breasts looking; high and round with symmetrical nipples.

I scheduled my consultation and came in a week later. I felt comfortable right away with Dr. Prada. He was easy to talk to and took the time to listen to my concerns and expectations. I liked that he was upfront about my case being more of a challenge, as it’s easier to go larger than smaller. But, he assured me even with the added complexity, he was confident he could get me where I wanted. He said to achieve the best outcome aesthetically, I would need a breast lift along with smaller implants. At first I was nervous about getting a lift because of the “lollipop” incisions lines that go along with it. For some of you that might not know, a lollipop incision line is an incision made around the areola/nipple and down the front of the breast. I remember a friend of mine getting this done a few years ago and her scars looked awful. So that’s what I was picturing in my head when I heard the word “lift”.
But, I shouldn’t have been concerned going with Dr. Prada; it’s only three weeks post-surgery and I can barely see the incision line in the front. I’m so beyond pleased! I’ve heard it can take up to a year for scars to completely heal, so if they already look this good, it means I’m off to an excellent start!

Dr. Prada took me from 600 cc’s in each to 375 cc’s in each. That is 450 cc’s less. I googled how much that weighed and found out there are 454 cc’s in a pound. So I’m basically one pound smaller up top and I can’t tell you how much of a difference it’s made! My breasts are proportionate to my body now. They are high and firm. My nipples are smaller (Yes, he can do that!) and symmetrical. I look amazing if I do say so myself!
