1 year & i love my nose more than ever !
Good luck to all the beauties out there considering this procedure, sending you love & positive vibes xx
11 weeks post op
How is everyone going ?
I've been feeling pretty good, my nose feels like it hasn't really changed much more over the last 4 weeks. It's been 11 weeks since i had my rhinoplasty done :)
I'm really happy with the results & think the healing is coming along well, the incision scar is pretty much gone, my nostrils are evening up, the swelling between my eyes is gone but the tip is still rock solid and round !
I know it's just a matter of waiting & i really do see an improvement each day, sometimes even when the light hits it differently it looks better :)
I've put up some photos, they're not very good ! I suppose years of avoiding taking photos of yourself doesn't make you a very good photographer, it's something i'm really looking forward to working on :)
Also, does anyone think some kinda of injectable in my top lip would make my face look better ?
4 weeks post-op & 3 weeks since cast removal
It's been a while since i last updated.
Since then i've gone back to work & pretty much just gone on with like, my nose is feeling a lot less sensitive, i can smell & breathe better than before now :) it really feels like i've just has a vicks vapour drop when i breathe in through my nose. The air feels clearer !
The swelling between my eyes is still lingering, it's worse in the morning but getting better each day, i feel like the bridge has almost no swelling anymore, it's still a bit tender to touch but i love the look of it. The tip however is being a pain & holding onto all that swelling :( When i pinch it it feels rock solid, so i suppose that's from all the swelling up in there. I can't wait for it to start disappearing because i feel like it's the last bit of the nose that doesn't looks right, it's bulbous but i CAN see the outline of what it will look like post - swelling.
One other thing i've noticed is the difference between the nostril sizes. At the moment the left nostril is higher than the right nostril, i'm pretty sure it's just the swelling reducing at different speeds & i know one side of my nose had more work than the other so i'm not really worried :)
All in all, i think i'm just being impatient !
Next week on Wednesday i'm going back to see Dr Shahidi for my follow up. I'm really excited to see him & hear how he thinks my nose is :)
How is everyone else's recovery going ?
Provider Review
I have had a wonderful experience having my septo-rhinoplasty performed by Dr Shahidi. After my initial consultation, his caring & attentive nature made my decision easy, from there things only got better & better. All his staff were lovely to deal with, my questions & emails were always responded to promptly & comprehensively. Before my procedure, Dr Shahidi took me through the details of what to expect and helped me feel very calm & ready. After my procedure i had no pain, minimal bruising & swelling. I believe the quality of Dr Shahidi's ability & the care he took when performing the surgery helped contribute to my quick & pain free recovery process. I am so grateful to have had this procedure, i can't recommend him highly enough Thankyou Dr Shahidi
