Beware of Long Recovery for Scars
I did Cellfina in a clinic abroad (they don't do it in my country yet) in March 2018. I am caucasian (very pale skin), 34 years old.
My main concern was my thighs, but that was a wavy form of cellulite or maybe unevenness from former lipo, so the doctor did not recommend Cellfina for this problem. I had a few dimples on my buttocks as well that was treatable with Cellfina, and decided to go ahead and just treat them since I had travelled for this and had mind set on doing it.
Even though I only had a few dimples and the doc said I looked pretty good, they marked and treated lots of spots. Maybe around 20. The procedure and physical recovery painwise was pretty fast and smooth. I flew home the next morning, no problems. Some leaking the first day, bruising for maybe a month. I bruise easily. Also felt some lumps, I think they took about 4 months to resolve.
My main concern is that my butt has been covered in red dots afterwards. Some faded pretty quickly, but others remained very visible and still are. So you are definitely not bikini ready in a few weeks, some of the dots were blatantly obvious and dark red/purple all summer.
Now, 6 months after, the scars have faded more, but some are still very visible. I have like 3 left that are very obvious, maybe 10 in total if you count all the smaller and lighter ones that are still visible. Self tan hides it a bit, but not much. They don't look or feel like surgical scars anymore, it looks more like I have an acne problem on my butt with the red dots everywhere.
I talked to a doctor at a laser clinic about it when I was there for another treatment, she said scars like that took a while to heal and to give it a year and then come back if they were still visible.
I made it through summer without showing my butt in a bikini, luckily I had already opted for a city vacation. As a single and a bit vain girl it did put somewhat of a damper on my sex life, I did not want to bare my butt for anyone the first months when my ass was covered in dark dots that looked like obvious scars, and now when they have faded more I have had sex on a few occasions but prefer the lights off and missionary more than I used to.
So, yeah.. my butt looks good except from the red spots, but since the buttocks was not my main concern in the first place and the recovery has been so long, I am not sure I would do it again.
Just beware that this so-called noninvasive procedure with speedy recovery acutally kan leave you with marks for probably a year. Hopefully not any longer, I will be sure to post again here when they have sufficiently faded or are totally gone. Now they are at the point where I can show my ass with selftan in dim lighting, but would rather not wear a bikini in bright sunlight, they are too visible for that in my opinion.
I have had laser lipo and should have known these things take time, but I actually think the lipo scars closed and faded faster. Plus that is only like a dot her and a dot there, like you had a mosquito bite or an ingrown hair or whatever. Cellfina is like dozens of them right on your ass, so it becomes so much more obvious and noticeable.
