Butt Implants + Fat Transfer with Dr. Reyes

l flew to Bogotá, Colombia on November 30, 2020 and had my surgery on December 3rd. From pre-op to post-op, everything went smoothly and I had a wonderfully pleasant experience with Dr. Reyes, his assistant Yolimar, the nurses and the anesthesiologist.
BEFORE SURGERY I chose Dr. Reyes for this surgery because I previously went to him for a breast augmentation, mini tummy tuck and bbl and had fantastic results. However, I’ve always been quite petite (110-115 lbs) so I didn’t have much fat to transfer for my bbl. This was why I opted for implants. After some extensive research, I decided to go back to Dr. Reyes as I knew he has a lot of experience with butt implants and I had seen a lot of his patients achieve my desired aesthetic. During my consultation, I explained to him that I wanted a significant change in size so we decided on 560cc round polytech implants with intramuscular placement and liposuction on my abdomen/lower back (to transfer the fat to my hips and butt). He was very patient, attentive and addressed all my questions and concerns. DAY OF SURGERY Dr. Reyes reassuringly answered all my additional questions. I was quite nervous but the nurses and anesthesiologists were also extremely friendly and very meticulous during my pre-op process. I woke up in the recovery room with two nurses constantly checking up on me. Once I was feeling up to it, they gave me tea and broth and, after several hours, I was allowed to leave to go back to the recovery house. The doctor’s office arranged to have a nurse stay overnight with me at the house and she was already waiting for me when I got there. I was very surprised at how manageable the pain was on my first night. Also, I didn’t need drains - which made it so much easier to move around and to use the restroom. AFTER SURGERY The next day, the doctor’s assistant came to stay overnight with me. She cleaned my dressings, helped me shower and helped me walk around every couple of hours. It was very evident that she was very experienced in post-op care and it was such a huge help! The rest of my recovery was uneventful and a couple days after my follow-up appointment, I flew back home. However, on the flight back, I was experiencing ongoing pain on my right side. It made me very nervous so I reached out to the clinic. Although Dr. Reyes was away on vacation, he messaged me right away and continued to message me consistently throughout my flight and even after I had landed. I really appreciated his compassion during those stressful 6 hours!Once I arrived home, the pain had lessened and since then, the pain had begun subsiding each day. At this stage, I no longer feel pain - just soreness (which goes away once I walk around a bit).I’m very thrilled with my results and very thankful to Dr. Reyes for giving me the derrière and hips that I’ve always dreamed of having! His office still messages me every few days to make sure I’m healing well and to answer my constant barrage of questions lol. Dr. Reyes and his team clearly care about their patients which shows in how well they continue to look after me throughout my recovery. I’m now three weeks post-op and recovering well.
