Incredibly Talented Surgeon - Transformed my Look!
Did a brow lift and blepharoplasty with Dr Gurkan Kayabasoglu and absolutely love my results. The brows changed the look of my bone structure and photograph beautifully; my eyes are much larger and alert.
I've had a couple of surgeries in the past and was nearing the point where I wanted to improve my face but wasn't sure of what next to do - Dr Gurkan guided me to procedures I hadn't thought of and really helped make my face look less girl next door and more modelesque.
Healing definitely took a bit of time, which I think is par for the course for brow lifts. After a month and a half or so, the results were really beautiful and natural and I felt so thankful that I did the surgeries!
This was my first procedure in another country (am American) and wanted to share a bit on how it went, in case it is helpful for other Americans!
- I had so much more facetime with the doctor than my previous surgeries - he did one video visit and two in person to help me pick procedures. He is very kind and patient and goes to great lengths to make the patient feel comfortable about how procedures will go!
- The office is beautifully decorated space and staff are very sweet - they checked in quite often before and after the procedure to see how I was feeling, which I have not had in the past. I asked a TON of questions about medications and surgical techniques and they were very patient with me.
- The hospital chosen was in a historic building and I was allowed to stay for most of the day and fed - versus in the US, where I usually had to leave right after the procedure. Meds are included with the procedure!
- There is definitely less written communication - I think it is good to proactively ask about the details like how to pay and the bloodwork well before the procedure so that you can plan accordingly (especially if only in the region for a few days)
Overall, highly recommend and wish I'd found this doctor even earlier in my plastic surgery journey!
He has a strong IG presence (verified!) and has a lot of material there that was helpful in making decisions
