4 weeks Post Op - Update
At 4 weeks post op, I feel significantly better. For me the most discomfort I felt was during week 1.5 through 2.5 but once I made it to 3 week post op, things significantly improved including my mobility and a reduction in burning sensation near the incisions.
I did have a small opening in my left breast near the T-junction. I have attached a collage of some photos of the area. It originally was bleeding daily while taped up. Once I contacted Dr.'s office, I was told to remove the tape from the T-junction area and let it dry up. It has since gotten better and now I may get a tiny speck of blood dried up on the gauze per day. Its definitely moving in the right direction.
I also took some photos around 3.5 week post op. Right now, the incision areas look really clean and the skin in that area is looking smooth at the moment. This was one of the reasons why I went with Dr. Rahban. I just hope my skin continues to behave nicely and heal well. Letting it do its thing and hoping the scars that follow wont be angry with me.
My breast are still swollen, bruised and sore. I did notice in the last couple of days that the swelling has gone down some. I am still taped up (I remove tapes every 5 days and re-tape the following day) but once I remove the tape, I will snap some photos and see if I can see a difference yet.
Generally feeling much better and just hoping for the best in the little T-junction region.

Pain and Sleep is Getting Better. I Start Work Tomorrow.
Just a quick update. I am still feeling very stiff and sore. I still have some bruising. My one breast feels more swollen than the other. I still get stabbing pains at random times. However, last night I had the best nights sleep so far. So that was a big win! It made for a less painful day today. I ditched the wedge which turned out to be a great decision. I kept feeling like I was being overly stretched out while on the wedge. So last night, I instead slept on soft pillows which felt much better and kept two pillows under my knees to keep me from rolling to my side.
Tomorrow I start working. I get to work from home which will be very helpful. I specifically chose to start on a Friday just because Fridays are quite a bit slower (plus Mondays are usually hectic) and I can spend the day catching up on the hundreds of emails that are undoubtedly waiting in my inbox. Not sure yet if I am going to try to work from my bed with my laptop on a breakfast bed tray or if I am going to try to sit in my chair all day.
Also, I don't feel anything when I touch the nipple on my left breast (the more swollen one) whereas my right nipple feels quite sensitive. Not sure if thats to be expected or not.

8 Day Post Op Appointment - Removal of Sutures
So I had my first post op follow up appointment yesterday which was day 8 post op and I got my sutures removed. It was the first day up until that point that I got to see them without the surgical bra and padding. I unfortunately didn't get to see them bare nor snap a photo once the sutures were removed as I was sitting up, however my husband managed to snap a photo of the scars while I was laying down on the patient table/chair (idk what the official name is).
I have to say, even though it is a little scary to see those red scars and cuts on oneself, I do think for day 8 they look really good. Dr Rahban was very pleased with how they looked and let me know that things are progressing well with the healing and that I just need to take it easy and give it time.
After the sutures were removed, I was taped up at the incision locations. Once I got off the table with the tape on, I got a chance to turn around and look in the mirror for the first time seeing my new breasts. I was pretty elated to see how small they are (I wanted as small as possible without compromising shape) and quite pleased with the shape of my new breasts. Dr. Rahban let me know that currently the breast are swollen and therefore quite stiff but that over the next several weeks, they will soften and settle a bit and will become more rounded. To be honest, I am pretty happy with the shape even at this point. Looking forward to seeing how they will settle and change up over time though.
I have to keep wearing my same surgical bra until next week where I have my second follow up appointment. I get to have my first real shower tomorrow (48 hours after the sutures were removed) which I am sooo looking forward to as the sponge bath/towel wipe downs aren't quite the same.
I do still experience sharp pains and that sucks. I have been taking Tylenol Extra Strength but it's making it hard getting through the night. I still have prescription pain medication left but I would rather not take those as my pain isn't consistent through the day. Frankly most of the day I am fine, its just suddenly I get sharp pains and have to just stop and take some deep breaths. Well, I am looking forward to getting further along the healing journey to where I no longer get those sharp stabs.
Otherwise, everything is going well and nothing else I am suppose to do other than rest and take it easy.
