Breast reconstruction - the golden road of my cancer journey

I was referred to Dr. Miranda along with the referee mentioning her positive energy. They were right- she is incredible! Upon meeting her I was dealing with chemo, and her upbeat personality really cheered me up. I was in the dark about how the process would go and she made it simple, thorough, and understandable. After getting my lumpectomy followed by a NED pathology report, Dr. Miranda's surgery was the next highlight of my cancer-eradicating journey. After carefully and skillfully marking me on the day of surgery, I was taken into the OR, and just like that- I was in recovery. I recall saying to Dr. Miranda during an office visit, after she explained her process- drawings and all, "Oh, you're an artist!" And that was where we connected. After seeing her work for the first time during my first post-op appointment, it was confirmed that Dr. Miranda is truly an artist. She reconstructed my breasts to look exactly as they did twenty years ago. Technically, I hardly see the scars. Pain was very manageable- I did not need to take any of the heavy meds, only Tylenol! Now I am two weeks post-op and I feel my nerves reattaching, nipple sensation, and the overall feeling of everything returning to normal. Dr. Miranda and her team provided great care and were/are conscientious about my well-being. I am so happy to have found Dr. Miranda!
