double bubble nightmare
I honestly feel very disheartened about this company and surgeon. I'm still experiencing pain and discomfort on the side of my breast, this area is really hard and feels abnormal. On my left breast I seem to have developed a double bubble. My breasts looks really unsightly and I honestly feel like I wasted all this money to be in agony and left with deformed breasts. My scar is healed thanks to my Gp. I never received any follow up or even some sort of after care from longevita since 3 weeks post OP since I contacted them about my evident infection I was lied to and told it was fine. Their one year aftercare is non existent if you end up needing it you are either blocked or ignored by them and any emails you send through the portal is instantly deleted and accounts suspended.
Pictures updates
Sorry the pictures are too graphic but I wanted to share my results the bad and the ugly. I know every surgery has risks but I never in a million years expected this or the non existent post op care provided. I will try to update my 6 week pictures soon. Mind you there is massive open wound requiring daily dressing change by the nurse.
Worst Experience Ever
After getting pregnant with my first child my breasts expanded, going from 28C to 28HH. Being size 6 all my life this ginormous breasts was very traumatizing which was made worse by the fact once I stopped breastfeeding I was left with a tremendous amount of excess skin. As a result my self confidence diminished not helped by the fact my ex was always commenting about it and adding to my insecurities.
After years of low esteem I found longevita who were very appealing and were in constant communication before putting my deposit. However this changed once I paid initial deposit and I was assigned a coordinator was for a better word very elusive and communication became non existent till I was incensed and filed a complaint and requested a refund for my deposit as I was within the 14 day cooling off period. This was met with an apology and an explanation due to covid19 being the cause and working from home which I quickly accepted (Big mistake).
I was assigned a new coordinator who was marginally better. I flew to Turkey on the 3 days prior to my surgery due to requiring a covid test before surgery. My surgery was on the 6th of August.
On the morning of surgery I was picked up from the hotel at 7am for surgery at 11am. Once I was signed what felt like a hundred documents (mind you I requested these documents prior to flying to ensure I read and understand what I was signing away I was informed there was nothing to send over) once I questioned why they were rushing me to sign without reading was told this is the hospitals requirement and not them hence why it was never sent prior.
I was assigned a room and told to settle in. Within minutes the surgeon came in with my coordinator and I was told to undress whilst doing so I overheard them talking in Turkish about moderate plus implants, which I assumed they were discussing someone else surely, as I discussed high profile implants in my initial contact with the clinic months prior. being a petite frame I was advised by many consultants in the uk to opt for HP implants to achieve my desired look.
My consultation was very brief he barley draw on me, I saw he was opting for lollipop breast lift which I quickly questioned as I expected an anchor lift but he was adamant this was the better procedure (hey hoo what do I know surly he was the expert) he told me I needed 400cc but I refused as I was always recommended 375cc at no point was told anything about the profile. Mind you I was having rhynoplasty at the same time and he decided on my nose within seconds without giving me a chance to have an opportunity to explain my issues or desired outcome. He was gone with a blink of an eye. Not what you would expect from a life changing procedure.
I was soon wheeled to a freezing operating table and told to scoot over to the other bed. I woke up a few hours later with the most caring nurse who I could not thank enough in assisting post surgery, one of the few people I actually felt cared enough throughout the whole ordeal.
My surgeon came and informed me he put in 375 moderate plus implants which I was very upset about but he was adamant that's what he recommended for my frame and I realised he already decided on the implants before even assessing me during his conversation with the coordinator prior to surgery as I was getting undressed. This was very upsetting as he never gave me an opportunity to refuse prior to surgery.
You spend one night at the hospital and transferred to the hotel for the reminder of you stay. At the hotel you are left to your own accord with no nurse visits or check ups till your discharge appointment.
I was discharged 7 days later at the appointment he checked my stiches etc I complained my stiches were very tight and really painful especially my right one below the nipple and just above the breast fold he said this was normal etc.
The next day i was dropped off at the airport, I stupidly requested assistance as i told check in desk I had surgery and couldn't lift the suitcase on the conveyor belt and was worried about stiches opening. Upon hearing this I was told I needed fit to fly note in order to fly home which nor longevita or the surgeon ever provided. I literally broke down in tears as they kept pushing me to call my surgeon for the letter, which I responded I did not have his actual contact details but longevita who only responded via emails and uk number for emergencies which I would not risk calling from Turkey. I managed to persuade them to let me fly home on the condition I did not inform the flight attendants.
Longevita promises 1 year aftercare, at no point pripr to surgery are you informed how this is provided incase of issues but rather its insinuated its done in their london office. On discharge I was informed aftercare is done via an online portal where you submit a ticket and a member of the aftercare team will respond within 24h.
At 3 weeks post OP I contacted longevita on said portal about the increaseing pain that was getting worse but again I was informed to keep changing my dressing and use the Batticon solution and to discontinue the thiocilline cream and told to expect my stiches opening and some bleeding to occur lo and behold3 day later my right stich opened slightly and I noticed green liquid oozing from the wound. Again I submitted another ticket and felt uneasy to wait for a response and contacted 111 who quickly informed me I needed to be seen instantly and I was booked in at my local A&E as I had an infection and they were concerned this could develop to sepsis.
At the hospital I was informed I had a severe infection and was given antibiotics and my wound cleaned and dressed. The next day I realised I never received any communication from longevita and logged in to the online portal where I was met a notice that my account privileges being suspended and my ticket for aftercare deleted of the system. I submitted another ticket and this again was deleted instantly.
I contacted the coordinator via WhatsApp said that the system merged tickets together. She instantly replied via the portal saying the surgeon has seen my pictures and recommended I continue using the Batticon solution. I quickly realised that the doctor has not seen my pictures nor did he recommend anything but it was her actual recommendation due to the speed I received a reply from her a person without any medical training. Had I listened to longevita I would dread to think what the outcome would be.
I am now left with a major open wound with daily appointment at the gp for dressing change which would leave horrendous scars and longevita no where to be seen. Having requested a consultation with a surgeon I was informed that the surgeon should have used an anchor lift instead of the lollipop as the latter has a 44% chance of revision due to a multitude of issues arising.
A month post OP I received a call from a UK agent of longevita expressing had I wished to recommend family or friends to longevita I would recieve a £100 Amazon voucher. I politely declined and realised longevita has terrible communication issues even between their agents since I was obviously very unhappy about my procedure how could I possibly recommend anyone throw someone under the bus for a £100 voucher.
