18 days post op (second surgery on this post)
I received a good response from my PS. He thinks everything looks great and is coming along nicely. I realized that I had some questions about Strattice that I hadn’t asked before. I was so concerned with getting the painful rock off my chest and preventing a new one, that I failed to ask the most basic questions. He provided me with some details that I didn’t know: Strattice takes 12-18 months to fully incorporate and he had to place it in a certain position so that it didn’t provide ‘support’ in the wrong area and cause my breasts to be off balance. Who knew?
The reason I asked him about these things was due to the fact that my right breast is very soft, but not quite ‘fluffing.’ I wanted to know if that had anything to do with the fact that Strattice acts as a tissue scaffold. It may take a little longer to fluff out, but as long as I don’t have another CC, I don’t care!
It’s been such a crazy few months, full of so many emotions. I’ve been up and down so much, but I’m finally starting to feel hopeful again.

I’m 11 days out
I sent my PS some photos this morning for him to review. I’m 11 days out from my last revision with the Strattice placement. I’m still soft, but not dropped and fluffed yet. I’m posting an image that will show both breasts. My initial revision from 5 months ago has completely healed on the left side. The scaring is minimally noticeable now. I hope after this latest surgery that he right side can finally catch up!
Revision with Strattice on Nov 6th
I had my second revision surgery on Nov 6th. The surgery went very well. He left the drain in for 5 days and it was a godsend! My first revision was so painful! I was swollen to my collarbone and completely black and blue (refer to the photos I posted.) If I’d had a drain it would’ve been so much better. I was scared for this surgery because of how I felt last time. This time? Total breeze! The drain kept all the fluid off, so no swelling, ergo no pain and pressure. I have mild discomfort from the incision, but that’s it. The worst pain I had was the discomfort from the drain itself pulling and tugging. It was a small price to pay though. I’m mildly swollen today and have just a little achiness. My breasts are almost perfectly symmetrical! Can you believe it?!? Once I fluff out a bit they’re going to be perfect. Fingers crossed this Strattice works and I won’t get CC.
