WORTH IT$9,900
Started using Bio Oil and Aquaphor which have been beneficial for me in the past for healing my skin and also silicon tape. Seems like things are starting to settle to move into place. My left side has been a little different. Feels like the muscle in between still has some recovering to do to settle properly and have my nipple look more forward. The whole time my left has been more sensitive to any kind of lifting/pulling so I am aware it still needs more time. Luckily the implants never sat really high.

Did you maintain nipple sensation or lose feeling permanently?

I maintained sensation for the most part. My left side was fully normal and my right side couldn't feel pressure in the beginning. It is starting to come back now though and is almost back to normal so I feel pretty confident it will fully recover in the next couple weeks.

You are looking incredible already. You are going to have a very nice result when you are all healed .

How was the pain level? How long did it take before you could do normal activity like walk a dog, exercise….

The pain the first few days is fine as long as you stay on top of it. I stopped meds after 4-5 days because I didn't feel that I needed them any longer and they caused more issues for me mentally than they did help for pain. Tylenol was all I needed after a few days and a muscle relaxer to sleep for a few days. I'm only 3 weeks post op. Follow your doctors instructions but most doctors say 6 weeks for exercise. I have a 1 and 3 year old so it's pretty much been impossible not to lift them so I have been doing that since about 1 week post op but they are 20 and 25 pounds. Follow your body, you will know your limits. Based on how my dogs are on walks, I for sure would not be the one choosing to hold the leash or risk them pulling on a leash while everything is still settling. All that to say I feel like I'm in a good place but I still very much limit my lifting and try to be aware of what I am doing.

Comparatively, the first couple days are actually way easier. I tried cutting out pain meds that were not Tylenol and that was a mistake. I generally try to be independent and tough things out on my own and this is not one of those situations to be stubborn with. Do what you are told and accept help gracefully, because it really is in your best interest for a healthy recovery. I let my swelling and discomfort get the best of me.

I had my procedure July 11. My post op appt is tomorrow. At this point the last week was a blur. I’m ready to feel normal again.

I soooo feel that. It's exhausting and feels like it's never going to end sometimes.

Be Well!
