I’ve always had naturally large breasts for my frame, now that I’m 31 I’m starting to see the effects of gravity. After doing a lot of research on RealSelf I’ve decided I’m getting a breast lift and augmentation with Dr. Tanya Atagi. I’m going with Allergan Natrelle Inspira 275cc high profile implants.

Night before pre-op appointment!

It’s the night before my pre-op appointment! I’m saying good bye to my old boobs, I gave them a good summer and a lot of topless tanning in the sun as a last hurrah. I really do appreciate them, they’ve served me well and I’m excited to give them the upkeep they deserve. I’ve been working out daily, at least 20 minutes of cardio a day and a lot of planking. My core is sore which is a good thing. I’m hoping that the results of the surgery will encourage me to keep up with working out and make me more committed to taking care of my body not just aesthetically but also for health. I’m wondering what all else I should do to prep. I was told to eat pineapples leading up to surgery help with brushing, but I’d also like to do some research on what else I can do to prepare myself for smooth healing. So far all I have is dietary stuff and shirts that open from the front. Would love suggestions, will post question as well.

I’m so pleased with how it went! Dr. Atagi and her staff were so thorough. We did my physical, everything was re-explained and discussed with me from the preparation for surgery to the procedure and aftercare. I spoke to both the surgeon and her assistant about my body goals and exactly what I want my augmentation to look like. In my initial consult I requested Allergan brand implants instead of Mentor which is what she usually uses. I specifically wanted the Natrelle Inspiras. She went above and beyond and brought me a really informative sheet of all the Inspira model variants, I went with the cohesive with the highest percentage of silicone fill for maximum projection/volume/fullness. Afterwards I was sent to a lab to get my blood and urine analyzed to make sure I’m in proper condition for surgery. This whole thing was a much more thorough experience than my first surgery which was a BBL done in Los Angeles.
My medication regimen is extensive and thorough! To prepare my poor stomach for all the meds I’m going to be on the doctor put me on a probiotic for 30 days, something I take anyway. I’ll have been on the doctor’s specific probiotics for 10 days leading up to the surgery and continue them after. I start a course of Celebrex starting 2 days before surgery. The night before surgery I’m supposed to put on a Scopolamine patch which helps with nausea from anesthesia, this is to be worn for 3 days. I also was given an Arnica surgical recovery regimen which I start the morning of the surgery. I start a course of Keflex at night after my surgery. I was also prescribed Zofran for nausea as needed. And for the “fun” pills I was given Norco & Valium and warned not to take them at the same time. Norco is for generalized pain and the Valium is for sharp or tight pain. Pain pills make me throw up so I’ll be avoiding them as much as possible. I was also recommended some Colace or Peri-Colace to keep me regular while I’m on so many meds.
I’m at the 6 day countdown mark!
