My tummy tuck was the 2nd procedure by Dr. Atagi. Her bedside manner is amazing. Her voice is very calming and reassuring. I never second guessed any of her plans. She gave realistic outcomes. Her follow care was amazing.

Day 2 of recovery : bruises and soreness are dulling inmy face. The thighs are still very sore (sitting is uncomfortable on the bruises).
Day 1: Slept solid. Work up swollen.
Procedure day: I under estimated the intensity of this procedure. Healing time is going to be a few weeks. Quite intense.

The worse part of this is the inner thigh fat removal bruising and soreness. I cannot sit (especially not on the hard toilet seat). I expected my face to be sore, which it is, but I didn't anticipate my rear to be more sore. We took 10ccs from a combination of both inner thighs.

Oh and the numbing needles are the worse. I have a single stitch in 6 locations on my face and 2 badanges on my rear legs, not sure if it's a singke stitch there.

Grocery store run success, lol. I have a few nerve (zingers) at times when I touch areas, and itching from healing at the stitch sites but no facial pain or discomfort today. Butt is still sore, lol.

Loving the results! I feel like I have my face back!!

(Back story : in Oct 2019 I had Ultherapy done from a non-medical office and they melted all my fat from my face. I aged 10 years and hated my face and what they did to me. From now on only Dr. Atagi touched my face!!) lesson learned. I have had Atagi do Ultherapy 3 previous years with great results!! No more Groupon deals for me!!

2 weeks post operation: The swelling and bruising is minimal. Tenderness in my temple area still when it gets bumped (by my dog). I couldn't be more pleased to havs my face back.

My inner thighs are still very very sore. The incision sites are still healing and i am still bruised between my legs. That is the worse part of of this whole thing!

3 week post op, different lighting in these pictures from the same day. Bruising in my face and inner thighs are finally gone. The incisions are starting to scab and heal as well. Just some puffiness under my eyes mostly when i wake up in the morning.
They took 10cc's of fat from my inner thighs (5cc"s from each inner thigh) and we only used about 6cc's maybe a bit less in my face.
Sitting on the hard toilet seat still is slightly uncomfortable... But thats it.

It has been 6 months since the fat transfer into my face and I have my "fat face" back again, lol. I never thought I would be happy to say that. All the fat survived even with me trying to diet down my body during that time. I dont need any additional fat transfers done. I will continue to do my skin care lasers with Dr. Atagi's office only from now on. That was an expensive lesson!

Since puberty my breasts were uneven. It lead to many years of being uncomfortable in many articles of clothing, never having a bra that fit, and being insecure. One breast was at least a D, and the other a B maybe. The bigger one always got sweaty underneath and the lopsided feeling sucked. So at 24 I decided to take on the debt required to fix it.
I was determined to try the liposuction method before the more invasive traditional reduction. I knew what I wanted and many doctors had no experience with it and turned me away. Dr. Atagi is a specialist in breast sculpting and knew from our first meeting that it was a good procedure for me. She still gave me multiple options to choose from so that I could be informed, but never tried to push more expensive and invasive procedures onto me.
The procedure itself was done under local anesthetic, and the most painful part was getting the numbing injections which stung like hell upon administration. The procedure took about 2.5 hours.
I took 4 days off work but could have gone back sooner. I couldn't exercise for two weeks or else the swelling was painful. I didn't need to take all of my pain meds because my breast was basically just super swollen.
It's been about 3 months now and I am still waiting on final results. The swelling doesn't entirely go away until a whole year later, and skin tightening takes that amount of time as well.
So far I am happy with the results, but can hardly wait to see where it will end up. The size of the liposuctioned breast changes daily. Sometimes they looks super even, other days I swell up quite a bit. How even they can get is based on how much fat was present inside of the larger breast. About 110 ccs were removed (pretty much all I had vs fibrous tissue) but will it be enough? I may consider small implants/implant and areolar reduction to adjust remaining unevenness in the future. I'm happy I went with this method first.
Dr. Atagi and her staff were amazing throughout the whole procedure. There's something special about another woman being able to understand you and help make the adjustments to your body that you desire. It's impossible to feel uncomfortable around her and she makes you feel at home.

14 weeks post op. Still waiting on some swelling to reduce. I have been massaging the area daily. I purchased Arnica bruise lotion to reduce some inflammation. After my procedure I was given Arnica montana capsules to help reduce bruising. I like that Dr. Atagi doesn't underestimate the power of this natural medicine. I use the arnica lotion and therapeutic cups (cupping therapy) on my breast since its a less painful way to break up scar tissue and keep swelling down. I started this only a few days ago but I expect some visual results soon, and have already had less tenderness since starting.

Seems to be very little change happening form here on out. My doc says there should be some skin tightening over the next 5 months. She says changes happen for an entire year after the procedure. Absolutely zero pain, tenderness, or discomfort at this point. I go 99% of days without a bra for the last few months.

Now that I've seen about where my results are, I'm a bit disappointed. There is a difference and I do feel much more confident. But I have decided that i want to achieve much more symmetry. Some days they seem more even than others, but as you can see in this photo there is still a large difference. I am sad that I'll have to go through another surgery and the cost associated with it. Now I'm thinking my options will be between a single breast implant to the small one (although I hear this is not reccomended), more liposuction to the large one, or a fat graft to the small one.

This is on a more even day. There are lots of fluctuations in size difference. Its not exactly even, but is closer than before. I've been icing every other night for 2 minutes. Icing isn't good in the beginning because it can draw away blood that is healing your newly damaged tissue.

I have now reached my final stage of healing. The right side is still bigger, but part of this is that my breasts are both naturally different shapes. My scars have lightened completely and don't bother me. I am now considering doing just a donut mastopexy (areolar reduction) to tighten some of the skin that is loosened from the liposuction and raise the nipple to the height of the other. I will do both sides.

11/10 Day 1, anesthetic worked wonders. Great mood. Good energy. No pain. Can’t take covers off until 1 week checkup. Wondering what’s going on down there. Small gush of blood from nipple incision in the middle of the night when I wasn’t moving around.

11/11 Day 2, intense burning around nipples, can barely feel incision below breast, some soreness to right breast. Hard to sleep. Set timer on phone for every 4 hours. The hydrocodone makes me itchy on the rest of my body but not terribly. Started taking nausea meds since I realized I hadn’t been eating much. Should have started sooner.

11/12 Day 3, nipples calmed down. Slept much better. Can feel lower incision but not painful . Need pain meds less often.

11/15 Day 6 I didn’t take any pain meds at all. Slight itching but nothing bad. Not very sore either. I took the foam cups out of the sports bra SheFit.

11/16 Day 7 No pain meds again. I took off the super tight sports bra and am wearing another tight sports bra that zips in the front wit no foam cups. It is more comfortable around the ribs. I got sweaty so I removed the bottom gauze. It was mildly stuck tot he scab but was easy enough to coerce off without ripping it open too much. It looks much better than last time when they had to dig for and cut out the stitch.

11/17 1 week follow up appointment. They took out the stitches from my liposuction wound. Mild stinging. They removed the gauze from my nipples but left the tape.

11/18 I removed the foam cups from the shaft bra to make it fit more properly. Since my nipples aren’t as sensitive now, this will be better for my liposuction healing.

11/20 the ends of the sutures were uncovered on Wednesday then the gauze was removed. The sutures stick out form under the steristrips. They can rub against your bra and be uncomfortable.i dded a small bandaid to hold down the ends so they don’t tug.

11/22 The last week has been painless except f0r waking up this morning my nipples were pretty sore. I think this is due to putting on a sports bra thats more tight at night. I found tat the shefit bra did not compress at night as gravity brought my breasts flatter the fabric did not reach even with adjustment of the straps. My nipples were itchy last night.
I realized that a portion of my sutures were infected, likely form being soaked as it was the spot where the big surge of liquid came form night one. I noticed due to the foul smell. I removed the steristrip in that region, which was not easy because the dissolvable sutures were sticking to the moisture o the soaked steristrip. The skin around it was raw and pink. I have begun asking my nipples once a day with an unscented antimicrobial soap (dial brand) and can already see the area improving.

11/23 Some itching but less pain. The infected region is starting to dry out and form a proper scab. I pulled back some of the steristrips as I am afraid of the pain of them sticking theta the wound when they remove them tomorrow. The other area that were not infected look pretty good but the skin is surprisingly not super attached on the surface level because of the dissolvable sticks perhaps.

11/24 2 week follow up appointment. I can drink and exercise now. The steristrips and sutures were removed.

11/26 Some parts of the incisions are not closing and are pulling apart. This is likely due to emerging / rejected dissolvable sutures. I am getting scheduled to have them removed so that I can continue healing.

3 weeks out - going in today to get the rest of my dissolvable sutures removed that are not closing. 100% recommend buying a pack or 2of steristrips as they did not give me enough. Also, the bra they recommended works better for larger breasts. I am downsizing so it didn’t give me support here the mass of the breast is. I got a $20 sports bra form target that zips in the front and took the cups out. I got a size too small so that its a bit difficult to zip up. This gives way better all around compression and I wish I had it earlier. I probably could have reduced swelling much earlier if I had this since at night when my breasts flattened out while sleeping, they were not compressing properly. They pulled out a lot of sutures that weren’t dissolving. They say because I am young and my body is responding strongly to foreign bodies.

3 weeks and 2 days later - I can see that the spaces where the sutures were are now closing

3.5 weeks out - I had one day where my breast was very sore but nothing terrible

4 weeks later - everything is itchy but not as bad as before. I started applying unscented Cerave lotion to my breasts and nipples where they are healed. I wash the bra every 3 days to prevent too much build up. The earring where it was not healing will likely be an issue.

5.5 weeks later - When not wearing a bra I can sort of feel a tiny tug on the internal permanent stitch in the right larger breast. I wonder if that will ease as the strength is regained in the tissue. Otherwise the feeling is unstable and the incisions have closed almost entirely except for a few dissolvable sutures that appeared and still need to be removed. I am wearing the silicon pads all day every day and have some tape underneath where the sutures are causing it not to heal.

Almost entirely healed. All of my scabs are gone. I have been putting steri tape over the pink scarred areas daily to give them some support. Feels completely normal and the tugging I felt on the stitch on my right breast went away in a couple days.

I have been contimplating breast augmentations for the last two decades! Finally this summer, after putting my bathing suit on for the first time I realized how incredibly flat I was! Also, I figured I am not getting any younger, so it is time to set up a consult. Over the last several years I have done pleanty of reserach on plastic surgeons and was drawn to Dr. Atagi in Lone Tree. She has an incredible resume and I love that she is a woman!

I LOVE my results!!!! I have been a little concerned that my breast may be too far apart, but after the swelling goes down I can tell they will move into the pocket. I am a former swimmer so my shoulders and rib cage are wider than most woman, which creates a natural space between my breast. Dr. Atagi was certain that creating the correct pocket with larger implants (350cc) will create a nice natural look!

I think my healing is going really well! My big bandages from surgery were removed and now I have steri-strips I will wear for one week. After that my sutures are removed!

I am working at gently stretching my chest muscles because they are quite tight over my implants. I’m not sure I’m suppose to, but I think it is probably okay. I can tell each day I get a little more movement and flexibility.

I am so happy I did this! What a great gift I gave myself!

At my two week check up everything looked really good. I told the nurse that I had a lot of pain under my breast and down through my ribs and abdomen. I told her it felt like muscle soreness. It turns out, since I always had auch small breast, that in order to create my “pocket” I had to have tacking done under my breast. What that means (from my understanding) is the inner tissue below my breast had to be tacked to my ribs in three little consecutive spots. This method, which is scientifically called something other than tacking, ensures that my pocket is fully capable of holding my implant in place and it won’t slip down.
Since I had to have that done my recovery is a bit longer and I am still sore and cannot sleep on my side very comfortably. I know in the end it’s all worth it, but being unable to work out and sleep well is taking its toll on me.
I am wondering if anyone else has had this tacking done?
*On another note, I always wanted to have bigger breasts, but now I kind of wonder if it was the right choice? I am putting this out there to see if others have felt this same way and then come to love the decision as much as they fantasized they would.
*i don’t mean to sound like a downer in this post as I think my thoughts are normal, but would like to hear from others.

As I mentioned before the tacking was long lasting pain. Around my three week post-op the pain under my breast was so painful that I contacted my doctor. She was so knowledgeable about how to help with my pain management that after some injections and other recommendations my pain diminished and my recovery really took off! Additionally, I paid to have ASPEN treatments post-op which helped with the muscles relaxing.

Now, I am able to sleep braless and my breast feel like they are settling really well. They are still not symmetrical but I’m not worried because I still have time for them to even out. I’ll see how everything settles, but I’m super happy!

One thing that is crazy, I went from a 32A to a 32DDD. My breasts do not look like what I would imagine a DDD woman to look like. However, again, the wideness of my chest needed more volume/fullness. Sooooo my initial desire of a B/C cup would have never worked for me. If my doctor had only gone by cup size - ugh!!! I would have been so disappointed.

10 weeks post surgery I ended up with cellulitis. I think because my immune system has been compromised and also because I have a pacemaker. My surgeon has been unbelievably proactive, by personally calling doctors to get me an appointment the day after I noticed the infection. Once again, she is top notch and a wonderful doctor, but better yet, a wonderful person.

I’ve wanted to write this review for some time now. I just don’t know where to begin or what I shouldn’t include so I’ll just pour my guts out.. I had 7 breast surgeries with the “best surgeon in Denver”. Each time I developed asymmetries, encapsulation, double bubbles, bottom outs, extreme scarring- you name it. I stuck it out with him because he was “the best” and according to him- it was my fault all of this was happening. The last surgery (5 years, 4 sets of implants, 3 revisions later) was the last straw- when I came out looking like a 45 year old, [RS bleep] [RS bleep] star. One word: BALLOONS!
I have to admit- I’m not an easy case. I’m 45 with asymmetries and have Lyme disease. I would have chalked this “boogie situation” up to plain old bad luck, but EVERYONE I showed told me that I had been botched so I thought I’d give it one more try.. but where do I begin with research? I truly resect my facial aesthetics doc (he’s very sincere) so I asked his opinion and he personally recommended Dr. Atagi.
My first visit with Dr. Atagi was absolutely fabulous. We weren’t rushed, she explained ALL advantages and possible adverse outcomes and was patient with me, considering I was distraught, nervous, weepy, aggravated and scared. It was at our second consult where she said simply that at this point- she could only improve my situation. That’s all I needed to hear.
A big advantage with Dr. Atagi is that she recognized my immune issues and tailored my care to prevent those previous surgeries’ adverse outcomes. I was astonished that she took so much time and consideration with me. Being a Lyme Disease warrior, I have experience with Holistic Healthcare and her care was very similar as she really catered to my present condition- not just the process of the surgery and recovery itself.
The evening of my surgery, Dr. Atagi herself called to check on me and called again over the weekend. She gave me her personal cell phone number and just having it made me feel more at ease. This isn’t the personalized care I’ve been accustomed to.
Today makes 9 months since my surgery and I’ve never felt or appeared so natural. They’re soft and positioned perfectly. Due to my natural anatomical positioning of the right pectoralis attachment, I do have a little bit of bottom-out, but I’m still happy overall and I don’t feel like Dr. Atagi or anyone could have done a better job.

3 years since my explant/re-implant with Dr. Atagi and I can tell you she’s TOP NOTCH. My breasts are still soft and feminine.
I appreciate that she took into consideration, my Lyme Disease and other auto-autoimmune conditions and treated me with a holistic approach.
Also- her office and OR is in a hospital and anesthesia was performed by a physician anesthesiologist.
I highly recommend.

Fran (Francisca) is thee best! I am so lucky to have found her, she is incredible. So talented and knowledgeable and a total sweetheart. I cannot stress how much she has helped me with the discoloration and hyper-pigmentation my autoimmune disease leaves my skin with. She has also helped me tremendously with postnatal skin issues. She is the queen of lasers. Period. The front desk staff at Atagi are also wonderful. I have interacted with Mary, Catherine, Emily and Trish and they have always been so helpful and kind. And when I do see Dr. Atagi in the office, she is always smiling. Overall and always such a pleasant experience!

Amazing! I love Tanya Atagi... I know several other ladies that have used Atagi for Breast Augmentation, and every single one of them are very happy with their new bodies. I love mine. And, I loved the care that was taken and the upfront care before the surgery was amazing. Totally prepared for all that would take place! I can't wait to wear a bathing suit and show off my new beautiful breasts!! (I am only two weeks in from my surgery). I liked that Tanya had me view all the other "befores and afters," and pick what I thought was the best for me and she made it happen! Wanted a more proportional figure ever since I’ve been waiting for my boobs to come in and never did! I went for a higher profile implant so I could achieve my desired cleavage, but still looked proportionate on my wider shoulders and athletic figure. L 375cc/ R 350cc silicone Mentor smooth round moderate plus profile.

I had a wonderful experience at Dr. Atagi’s office. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I am loving the results from Ultherapy. I have been getting a lot of compliments and people telling me that I look well rested.

I have been going to Dr. Atagi for over 4 years now. I started with my breast enhancement and I immediately knew she had an eye for each individual. This is a unique trait as she does everything proportionately accurate and balanced! I have since made Dr. Atagi office my go to for all things my face!! We have done my upper eye lids, Ultherapy every year, laser profractionsals twice a year, hormone therapy, botox...i will not go anywhere else!!
