A Horrible Experience
I finally found the strength and courage to write these reviews from my experience at CG Cosmetics. I had multiple procedures and my experience got worse each time. It’s been 1-2 years since having these surgical procedures and I’ve been heartbroken, depressed, and embarrassed to share. Choosing CG Cosmetic was the worst decision I’ve ever made and I hope that this lengthy review will help anyone from making the same mistake.
1st: 3/30/18 Breast Lift w/ Aug Dr. Ary Krau
Not many issues to highlight despite having to return for a revision due to areolae retainment. Dr. Krau explained this at consultation, which is about 10 minutes, immediately prior to surgery. This causes me to believe the doctors don't in fact review our emailed photo submissions because he could have highlighted this prior to my visit plus, no other doctor I visited said it would be an issue. He’s not the most warm or welcoming doctor I’ve met. However, he does give you his cell number to text him afterward, if needed.
2nd: 6/27/18 360 Lipo + Arms Dr. Scott Loessin
Surgery time changed from morning to evening, the day of. I was initially the first patient and somehow I changed to the last. I sat at the hospital for hours waiting to be admitted. It seems my surgery was rushed because stomach and arms are deformed and he didn't lipo my back, which was supposed to be done. My companion witnessed him leaving the hospital immediately after I was finished. Upon noticing the errors, I contacted Follow Up, Ailemys, Lidia, and Vivian. I requested a refund as I paid for a service that was not completed. The work was also embarrassingly horrible. I was denied and told to return and pay for a revision all because the doctor was careless.
3rd: Revisions 3/6/19 Dr. Loessin & 3/8/19 Dr. Krau
I returned for both revisions as it would cost much more by another doctor. It was a tough decision but I was promised CGC would make it right and I hoped this was my last time going. I was scheduled for Lipo then Breast 2 days after. After solidifying dates, Ailemys began to ignore me. I called and spoke with her manager, Vivian, about my concern. Ailemys then contacted me and said the doctors didn't want to perform the revisions, for no stated reason... Unbelievable! After months of fighting, they approved my revisions. The cost for Lipo revision was $1300. The cost for Breast revision was supposed to be $1300 but ended up being $2500. ?
I was scheduled for both revisions but was told that I could only have one when I arrived the day PRIOR to surgery. Either I was blatantly given incorrect info or the coordinators are not as knowledgeable on the rules as they should be. This is a problem because I (and my companion) took time off work, purchased flights, rented a hotel and rental car. I only agreed to return if I could have both revisions done in the same visit to Florida. This was a complete waste of our time and money. Dayanis allowed me to meet with Dr. Loessin. He didn't seem to care about my inconvenience, stating due to the fluid injected with lipo, I couldn't have it with another procedure and I needed to be at the same weight I was during the initial procedure. (I believe I was 4lbs over that weight, 168 vs. 172lbs or something). I wasn't told this prior to scheduling and I was told that I could have both revisions in one week! I requested another doctor whom could do both revisions in one procedure but they stated I had to return to the original doctors.
I was told I could see the “owner”, Tatiana, and she could help by reducing the price due to the situation, lack of communication and organization. I was told CGC could at least cover half, IF I still had to pay the anesthesia fee. After waiting for hours, I was given her email as she was too busy to meet. I emailed her 3/6/19 and 4/6/19 regarding the issue and no response. So now, I’m supposed to return AGAIN for revisions, costing more time and money due to THEIR negligence.
I was still scheduled for breast revision with Dr. Krau, which I wasn't excited about after all of this. The main reason I returned for breast revision was because Dr. Krau left areolae on both breasts and it needed to be reduced to a normal look. As the bruising improved after this revision, I noticed he still left areolae on my breast. This was the revision and it was supposed to all be gone! So again, if I want the remaining skin removed I will need a 2nd revision otherwise, I will have an odd areola forever that's been stretched, rearranged, and covers bottom half of the breast.
Every time I visit CGC, I leave disappointed and feeling defeated. I chose CGC due to the work I’d seen online and their pricing being lower within the US but saving that money upfront, was not worth it in the end. I will spend more time and money fixing their work. To be honest, the doctors created more problems than I began with. I’ve gotten Breast Lift W/ Implant twice and will need a second revision. I’ve also gotten 360 Lipo W/ Arms and will need a revision.
Everyone’s experience varies but if ANYTHING goes wrong, CGC will not try to accommodate you in any way, even though it’s their fault. They will not refund you for any reason, before or after surgery. If anything happens with your surgery results, you will be financially responsible for your revision. When it comes time to schedule your revision, they will give you a hard time because they’d rather collect the full price from a new patient. If anything happens with your revision, you will still be financially responsible for another revision and again, it will be a hassle scheduling. If you sit in the front long enough, you will witness other patients experiencing the same dissatisfaction.
If you are traveling from another state, it is not worth it. This has been a traumatic experience and they did not try to accommodate me in any way. They don't care about patients, they care about money. The office is unorganized and chaotic. They lack communication and lie to patients. The doctors want to get patients in and out as quick as possible, sacrificing quality. If I knew then what I know now, I would have gotten surgery at home with an honest office whom cared about patients and the quality of their work.
