I went to see Dr Joshua Greenwald because I was becoming more and more self conscious about my boobs as I was getting older. I had recently lost about 25lbs and noticed my right breast hung down more than my left. My areolas seemed to be getting larger and I just was not happy with how they looked. I was referred to Dr Greenwald by a friend who had recently had removal of her old implants and replaced them with these new "gummy" implants which looked amazing on her! I scheduled my appointment right away! My husband and I both met with Dr Greenwald and found him easy to talk to, a very down to earth kind of guy who took his time and listened to exactly what I was looking to do! We reviewed all options, costs, risks and benefits. I opted for a breast lift with the "gummy" implants and wanted a more natural look without changing my cup size. I also did not want my areolas too small because I was used to them being on the larger side anyway. Before leaving my husband put the deposit down and my procedure was booked! The day of the procedure went so smooth, the Cosmetic Surgery Center was comfortable, clean and had a cozy, intimate feel to it. The staff was kind and my nurse was exceptional. Before I knew it I was done and on my way home! I have to admit the first few days and weeks were a bit rough. I don't think anyone truly prepares you for the discomfort, especially since everyone is different and handles pain differently. Sleeping in a semi upright position was a challenge since I usually sleep on my side but each day things got better and better. There is also a psychological component to a boob job as well that I was not prepared for. After years of looking down at your breasts you kind of become accustomed to them, you know them and they are familiar...even if you are not completely happy with them. After a breast lift and implants, I no longer recognized my breasts as being part of me....they felt foreign and unfamiliar, like they weren't mine. It has taken some time to get to know my new breasts and I am growing to love them more and more! They look fantastic and I love the way I fit in my clothes now! My scars are fading very nicely and are becoming less and less noticeable. I have to say I look forward to my follow up appointments with Dr Greenwald, the staff there are always so kind, friendly and helpful and Dr Greenwald is just amazing...he listens, is caring and funny. He has done an excellent job with my breasts and I tell everyone who is interested in this procedure to go talk to him. After meeting him and seeing his results you will know you are in great hands!
