I decided to have a breast augmentation and lift in order to boost my self-confidence and self-esteem. Although asymmetrical breasts are not abnormal but quite common and having asymmetrical breasts had nothing to do with me but was essentially a ‘luck of the draw’, it was still embarrassing to be considered different to everyone else. Especially being considered abnormal in such an important part of a woman’s body.
After years of struggling with self-image due to my breast asymmetry, I consulted with Dr. Ellis Choy about my options. I had researched several other surgeons that specialised in asymmetry correction, but Dr. Choy had the most impressive reviews and results which compelled me to book a consultation.
My initial consult with Dr. Choy and his team was exceptional. The reception team was polite, reassuring and gladly answered my questions on arrival. The physical consult was incomparable from any other surgeon I had visited before; as Dr. Choy truly made the experience personal. He allowed me to thoroughly explain everything I wanted out of this journey and tell him my story. He further explained how he could support and assist me in achieving my goals. The surgery day was another amazing experience. I was admitted early morning by the lovely staff at Castlecrag Private Hospital and shortly after visited by Dr. Choy. As he marked out his surgical plan, he explained how the operation would be performed and allowed me to ask any questions. My first post-operative check-up was the morning after surgery, Dr. Choy was able to show me the results. I cannot express how incredible my post-operative results looked and the immediate relief that I felt knowing I had made the right decision to put my trust in Dr. Choy and his team. Surgery to correct my asymmetry allowed me to feel beautiful and comfortable in my own body.
Every post-operative visit I have had so far, no questions have gone unanswered. Although I am still in the healing stage and have a long way to go, Dr. Choy has already given me every opportunity I missed out on in my early teenage years by building my self-confidence back up. This surgery has been the best thing I’ve ever decided to do, and I cannot thank Dr. Choy enough. I am excited for the next six-twelve months to allow for the swelling to go down and for me to see the final results.
