6 weeks post off on the 27th.
Hi guys! Sorry I’ve been MIA for a hot minute. Anyway, I’m almost 6 weeks post off and had my meeting with Dr. Firouz yesterday. I am cleared to go back to my regular active lifestyle on the 27th and I AM BEYOND ready. I even scheduled a gym date with a friend! Here are some various post op photos.
One day post op
Let me tell you, my fear of anesthesia was unnecessary! All I remember is my nurses face and then waking up and asking “have you guys started yet?” Then i looked down and realized that the procedure was done. I was not groggy at all (a bit tired) but surprisingly alert. I will tell you this, the drive home was AWFUL. My pain meds had worn off and felt EVERY bump in the road on the way to Irvine from Beverly Hills, which took 2 hours and 20 min because of traffic. So horrible. When i got home i set myself up with basically every pillow in the house, took a pain killer and felt great. Last night i slept pretty well too.. I did wake up at 5:30 am to go to the bathroom and, of course, needed assistance. I can’t stress enough how important having someone to assist you for a few days is. Don’t even TRY to do anything yourself. Opening doors? Nope, getting out of bed? Nope. I’m so so thankful for my husband. He’s been a gem.
Right now my husband and i are on our way to the PS office for my day after surgery visit. I’m pretty sure he’ll be changing my bandages and advising me on what to do from here on out. I did forget to mention that I had the Profound skin treatment done by Dr. Ben Talei on my stomach and neck as I had some loose skin and stretch marks and the Profound tightens the skin and reduces the appearance of stretch marks. My neck was also tightened, which I’m super excited about. Here are some gross pictures from last night. I’m extremely swollen in my abdominal area and neck which is funny, because it makes me look like I gained 20lbs over night! Haha

It’s D day
So today is the day. I’m not going to lie, last night I had some of the worst anxiety I’ve ever experienced. I felt like my heart was beating at 100 miles per hour and I couldn’t shake it. Luckily, I can sleep through any situation, so I passed out at around 11pm.
My mindset today, is this: I am relinquishing control and giving it, in full, to my surgeon. I have worked too damn hard for this, to back out now. It’s going to happen whether I am in a state of zen or a state of stress, so I’m trying to choose a more “zen” state of mind. Also, I am SO HUNGRY!
