Botched for Life
Dr Nygaard is no longer available. She passed away on 02/14/2020.
I was afraid to write this before now, because I was afraid that other PSs would not want to help me.I'm crying as I write this because I look like a monster.Sept 2019, Dr Nygaard botched me for life during my BL/BA surgery. I lost 1/2 of my right areola due to over cauterization and my breasts are different sizes. She never sent me to a wound specialist. I finally went to one 2 months after my surgery because I was not healing. My wound specialist told me she could have saved my areola if I had been sent to her during the first week post op. I'm still so very angry. My right areola is permanently damaged.My right breast lost the crease during surgery and looks like it is sliding down my chest. She cut my left areola way bigger than my actual areola. It looks ridiculous. The entire 5 months after my surgery, Dr Nygaard denied that my breasts were different sizes. My left breast is a DD cup and my right breast is a D cup. At one point she told me that we could talk about a revision during my 6 mpo appt. Then at 4 mpo, I get a call from her office telling me that they have to move my 6mpo appt to be a 5mpo because Dr Nygaard was retiring before my 6th month. I'm still so angry!!!!!! If her skill had deteriorated so much, why was she still doing surgeries? I cry almost every time I look at my breasts. They are so very ugly now. I have no idea who to trust to fix my breasts. I did a lot of research. I consulted with 8 PS's. Dr Nygaard came highly recommended by several of her patients. I think she should have retired long before she took so much money from me. This is not at all what I envisioned my breasts would look like. I had a wish picture. She said she could definitely make my breasts look like the picture. She made me look like a monster. I'm so very distraught.
