Breast lift: 60 y.o. gets a tune-up

Since I really appreciate the experiences you all have shared, I thought I'd share mine as well.
I underwent a no-implants breast lift with lollipop (aureola plus vertical) incision with fat grafting to the upper pole of each breast. I was a smallish-to-medium 34D before the procedure. I also underwent liposuction to my outer thighs (saddlebags) and the lower back below the waistline (flanks). A little of the fat removed during the lipo procedure was injected into my upper breasts.
My procedures took place yesterday. I was under anaesthetic for 3 hours. The post-op pain control was excellent: although I filled the prescription for hydromorphone, I didn't even take it: I'd rather avoid the opiates. Instead, I took acetaminophen and ibuprofen, two regular tablets each alternating on a 2.5 hour schedule. The nurse said I could also take them simultaneously every four hours. Since I'm small, 5'4, 118 lbs, the longer dose spacing goes a long way for me.
I felt very light headed immediately after waking up, with a rapid (about 100 bpm) heart beat, face bloated from the IV fluids, and I saw that was very pale, almost waxy. That's really a telltale that this was pretty serious surgery! But I was able to function fairly well even yesterday. My doctor said that as long as I'm not taking opiates, I can drive - so I did. I filled my prescription, which meant making two trips to the pharmacy, and walked around the house as much as I could. I even picked up my son from work in the evening.
The lipo resulted in the removal of 1600 ml of fat from my body. 250 ml were injected into each breast, with the expectation that maybe half of that will be retained long term. The post-lipo lower back area is the most painful. Really quite, quite sensitive. The thighs are much less so. And I wasn't feeling pain in the breasts or the incisions at all. After coming home yesterday I iced all the lipo areas twice, for 20 minutes an hour apart, to reduce the swelling. I also lightly massaged the thighs through the compression garment. They're sore. They probably look pretty dramatic, too! I'm glad it's still winter so I can layer on the clothes and ignore what's under them for the next couple of months!
Today I returned to work. Yep! I'm still waxy pale, and feel very wimpy with any sort of physical exertion. Probably a day too soon: walking to the bus stop and up a flight of stairs my legs felt soooo heavy. But I have a desk job, and sitting is ok.
Of course I'm wearing a ribcage-to-knees compression garment and a soft compression bra with dressings underneath, so I haven't seen any of the post-op results yet except for pretty spectacular bruising above the bra from the fat insertion into the upper poles. My breasts feel very big, they're swollen of course, and they're sitting very high - well, that was the idea! My PS mentioned that all the stitches except for one on each breast are internal, plus the incisions are all glued. He didn't prescribe any post-op antibiotics.
As I don't have any of the pre-op pics yet, I'm posting a day 9 post-op one instead: it's a nice intimation of things to come. As soon as I get my pre-op photos from the Dr's office, I'll add them here: I'd like to see for myself the BL change!

Post-op day 2: on my way to the PS office for first change of dressings. Breasts feel very full, very solid, immobile. They're swollen balloons. No pain in the breast area, but the lipo: ouch and double ouch!

PO day 3. Yesterday, the Dr. removed the original large dressings and placed two small ones on each suture line over spots that were still weeping a little. I checked them this morning, and one was already completely dry, so I removed it.
All my research on this site and elsewhere indicates that taping incision sites, and leaving them taped for several weeks or even months, is a really good idea, as it supports the "seam lines", prevents tissue spreading, and protects them from chafing. So, using 3M brown micropore paper tape, I taped all the dry incision lines, and replaced the one small dressing where the incision line still hadn't completely dried.
I love their shape: right now they're two perfect, beautifully rounded globes. Of course, they're still swollen stiff and immobile, and heavily bruised.
Pain? well, I don't feel any pain in my breasts or on the incisions, because I'm dosing myself pretty liberally with advil and tylenol in order to keep the agony in my lipo'd legs at bay. Because oh boy, my legs are horribly painful: today I broke down and took two dilaudids (hydromorphone tablets) in addition to the non-prescription painkillers. I also started taking high dose iron tablets (Dr's orders) to build myself up. Feeling extremely wimpy.
