Meeting with Dr Steve Merten

I met with Dr Merten in August 2018 to discuss having a breast augmentation revision. I originally had my breasts done in May 2010 when I was 21 by Dr Cholm Williams. I am 5’2 and weigh 50kgs. I was slightly less when I got them first done roughly 47kgs so I didn’t want big implants. I settled with 210cc which I was happy with. However over the years I’ve always wanted to go bigger and fix the asymmetry issues. My left nipple sits lower then my right which isn’t helped with my capsular contracture. When I met with Dr Merten he discussed the options I had. Remove the implants, insert bigger ones and remove the scar tissue on the left breast caused by the capsular contracture. The other option was same as above but also moving the nipple. I opted for the second option as I want as close to perfect asymmetry as possible. Dr Merten advised that should the removal of scar tissue and the breasts then even up he won’t move the nipple, which I’m hoping for as I really don’t want scarring around the nipple (luckily it’s not a lollypop scar). I’m booked in for surgery on 2nd October 2018 (a week away) I’m so excited for this surgery and will post my results for everyone to see.

Current breast photos - 210cc round
bar3September 25, 2018
A week today until I go into surgery; I actually cannot wait. Here are some pictures of my boobs “before” as I said in my precious update I had 210cc round implants put in by another surgeon in 2010. I was unhappy with the size and always wanted to go bigger. You can also see I have capsular contracture in my left breast which I’m looking forward to Dr Merten fixing. You can see in the side on photo of the left breast the contracture as the implant hasn’t settled as opposed to the right side on view of the implant sitting nicely. Also did bikini photos to show what my breasts look like now in swimwear, they’re not tiny but I’m excited for the upgrade. Dr Merten and I have decided on 320cc Motiva Ergonomix “Demi”

Congrats on your upcoming surgery!!! The Motiva Ergonomix sounds like an amazing implant! The Motiva implants are considered investigational devices in the US and hopefully they will be approved by the FDA after the study is completed. I can't wait to see the "new you"! Best wishes to you!!!

Thanks so much. I’ll be posting lots of photos once they are done and through the healing process.

Wish Pics

So it’s 3 days out before surgery, (SO excited) I’m absolutely in love with the RealSelf app. I find it so helpful seeing other people’s journeys and I love the updated photos of progress especially when the implants start to settle and take proper form. I just thought I’d put some wish pics on here. I’ve taken some from amazing patients here on the all who have also gotten 320cc Motiva implants so thank you for sharing your story and then some photos of other people who have nice sized breasts that I’ve found online.
