Huge Skeptic Turned Believer
I am 35 years old, I had a child at 32. I have considered breast implants my entire life but finally decided to go for it after breastfeeding. As you can see in my photos, they were deflated balloons after 1 year. So, after multiple consultations with various providers, my first surgeon (NOT Dr. Hochstein), his name was Dr. Smith, completed my initial surgery in 2019. I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, as they turned out to be MUCH larger than I expected post surgery. Triple D, very heavy, and he botched my nipple lift (as you can see in my second photo, my nipples were HUGE with very large scars). Obviously I needed them redone. I have SO many friends who have gone to Dr. Hochstein in the past for both implants and revision surgeries. For the most part, the results and experiences from my personal friends were positive. They loved their results, but complained that he was very cold with no bedside manner. After researching other surgeons and reading reviews, I came to the conclusion that perhaps he was good at initial surgeries but perhaps not revision surgeries… I could not have been more wrong. Upon my first meeting with Dr. Hochstein, he was very direct and to the point, but after meeting/consulting with so many other plastic surgeons in the past, I was pleasantly surprised at his professionalism and politeness. He didn’t do what all the other surgeons had done in the past by attempting to “size” me by sticking an implant in my bra with a shirt over it. Dr. Hochstein understands that every case is different. What 450 cc’s looks like on one person could turn out completely different on someone else. So, I was cautiously optimistic and trusted in his process. During our consultation we didn’t discuss size in the sense of CC’s. He asked me to simply show him a few photos of what I would like them to look like. I can understand why some might find that a bit strange, but it makes sense to me now understand that he truly knows what he is doing and has his own process of delivering the results that you truly want. During my pre-op and my meeting with him the day of surgery, i had a family member join me for the meeting. He immediately took the time to say hello and introduce himself, and they both found him to be quite polite and very professional. The entire process from start to fish was seamless and comfortable. His staff is fabulous, very organized and on point. Dr. Hochstein may seem to others as cold with no bedside manner, but I truly don’t think he deserves that reputation in the least. He doesn’t f*ck around, he takes his work seriously, and he truly is a master of his craft. If you want some sort of roll out the red carpet/white-glove service, you may not find that here. But if you want the best results from the jump that you can be confident you’re in the right hands, Dr. Hochstein is your guy.
