Exceptional Surgeon, Best Experience Ever

11 years ago when I was 38, after already having had a child and breast fed, I really wanted a breast lift. I know most mothers would know what I mean when I say that my breasts looked drained. Back then I didn’t do much research & was told by my previous plastic surgeon that all I needed was to go up a couple sizes which meant I didn’t need the lift with all the extra scarring involved.
Not knowing any better I was excited & looking back very naive. I went from a 10DD to 10HH which was a lot more than I bargained for. They just ended up being larger & saggy & I would round my shoulders inward so they wouldn’t look as big. I developed benign cysts in my right breast which were regularly sore. At this point I will add that I have put on some weight and went from size 10 to a 12. So last year I’d finally had enough of being unhappy with the size & the way they sagged. What also annoyed me was I had 1 store that I could buy bras from because of the size & had to wear underwire bras. So as you can tell, I really really hated my breasts.
I didn’t want to make the same mistake like last time so I did a lot of research this time and settled with 3 possible surgeons. 2 of them got back to me and I made appointments to see them. Dr Ellis Choy was the first consultation I had. From the get go, his reception staff are friendly and helpful. First up on the day I saw Siobhan his nursing assistant & she was lovely & helpful with gathering general information about myself. I then saw Dr Choy and had an extensive consultation. He confirmed and re-confirmed what I wanted, he was straight forward & I felt confident that he could deliver. I saw before and after shots which were impressive. I again saw Siobhan who provided me with the cost and surgery dates available. Don’t forget, I still had 1 more appointment with another surgeon & Siobhan was totally supportive about this.
Several days after seeing Dr Choy & discussing with my husband who was also present throughout this, I decided to cancel the other consultation and I booked my surgery with Dr Choy, I felt very comfortable he could provide what I wanted. I had another appointment with him to go over the final details of the surgery, once again he’s so thorough and informative.
I had my surgery at Castlecrag Private Hospital & they are wonderful, I could not rate them high enough, the staff are exceptional. I’m so over the moon with the results. I got exactly what I wanted. I had my surgery on a Wednesday and it was at least a 4hr procedure. I wanted most of my breast tissue removed as there is a history of breast cancer in my family. I had around 1kg of tissue removed all up, slightly more from the left to make them more symmetrical. I stopped taking pain killers after the 4th day and felt great after the 7th day. My breasts look great and they haven’t looked this wonderful since before having my child 19 years ago. I wanted someone with the skill & expertise to reconstruct breasts, not a Dr that just wanted to insert an implant. I got what I wanted with Dr Choy, he’s an artist. I had my follow up appointment 8 days after the surgery. I love the results!!! I highly recommend Dr Choy. His whole team from the reception staff to his assistants are brilliant and made me feel comfortable. Dr Choy also sent my tissue away to the pathology to get tested as a precaution. What a gem of a Dr. I can now walk around with pride and not feel uncomfortable about my size. A special thanks to Dr Choy, Siobhan, Janie, Julia and Natalie for making my experience so awesome.
