Breast Revision at its best

I called three doctors, made three consultation appointments and was only able to get an appointment with 2 doctors and one being Dr. Colgrove. Despite the long wait on my first appointment day, I still chose his practice for many reasons and I don't regret it. He had great reviews and is good at what he does.I'm 4 weeks post op and I'm satisfied. I had my left implant exchanged out due to it appearing to be larger than the right even though both were 457cc. The right one looked disfigured because at the last practice they allowed the nurses assistant to administer an excessive amount of a kenalog steroid shot to thin out the scar.My skin was as thin as a piece of paper and had no melanin and the scar tissue peeled away under the implant. The areola on the right was also too close to the cleavage line. My first doctor had made one areola bigger than the other. While all of this was a request to fix, I also had him reshape my belly button because you could barely see it anymore. The day of surgery went smoothly. Dr Colgrove came in and asked exactly what I wanted and he drew up my chest with a marker and measured. He explained everything he was going to do. Coincidentally I couldn't believe I had the same anesthesiologist from my last procedure at another practice 3 years ago and he was amazing!Dr Colgrove basically performed another breast lift and made them perkier than the first surgery. I was scared of having 2 different sizes and honestly you can't tell one is 400 and the other 457. The first 2 weeks of recovery was pure excruciating pain. It was the same horrible feeling like my first time. It was painful and uncomfortable. It wasn't until the 3rd week that I stopped feeling sharp pains, burning, aching and itching. Every week they change out my bandages but I guess that's protocol. My last breast surgery didn't do this and they wanted the tape to stay on and allow it to fall off. This was a probably for the best considering I'm allergic to adhesive. I had a drain on the left breast which wasn't so bad. Dr. Colgrove and staff have been very helpful and exactly the way I expected them to be. Professional and caring. What is important about this doctor is that he makes his way in to all the appointments to make sure everything is ok. My last 2 surgeons did not do this. That to me is bad customer service. So at 4 weeks now, the left breast seems to be a bit sore and tender than the other. It also sits a little higher in the chest and they said it's normal and will fall soon.I'm still making sure I don't get them saturated in the shower because I still have tape on. I am still wearing the medical bra until I hit 6 weeks and also when I can stop using tape. Every Thursday I change out the tape and Clean the wounds. I will now start to go every 2 weeks to the clinic verses 1. I will keep you all posted when the tape finally comes off. Kudos to the Vinings Surgery Center.

Can't wait to see progress photos as you heal. I'd prob call and ask the PS office about the tape and not seek advice on here pertaining to that. He may have his own standard on when to remove and your particular situation since you said your allergic to adhesive. Good luck.
