Post Op Day 6

Been back to work since yesterday. Still pretty sore but I haven’t taken anything to help with that as I stopped all pain medication on Sunday. Definitely have better movement with my arms but I try to avoid lifting them above my head as much as possible so I don’t mess anything up. Sleep is ROUGH. I’m a stomach sleeper so I already knew this would be hard but the pain wakes me up often and I’m constantly trying to adjust myself to make my boobs/neck/back more comfortable and I’m still sleeping very elevated. A heating pad on my back has helped a lot. I have my first post op appt in 2 days so we’ll see what he says. They haven’t changed much in appearance since my surgery so I’m starting to worry about the nipple positioning a little more as I was really hoping it would be temporary.. Fingers crossed it is.

Breast implant exchange with capsulorrhaphy

I had my first breast augmentation in 2014 and opted for 325cc saline moderate plus style implants (they were underfilled to 300 on one side, 275 on the other). They looked and felt great but a few years ago I gained around 25 pounds after quitting smoking and spent the last few years working out to try and get back in shape. I lost about half the weight I put on but gained a lot of muscle and I noticed my implants creeping further and further apart.

They also started to "sag" quite a bit even though I'm only 36 and didn't have any additional children after my first augmentation. Apparently between the weight gain/loss, gravity and my workouts, the pockets shifted (my chest muscles were pushing the implants apart) so I needed a capsulorrhaphy to correct them. I opted to swap out my implants as well as to have the pocket revision done as I desired a higher profile, "perkier" appearance over the matronly appearance my current implants took on.

The doctor suggested Natrelle Inspira cohesive full style implants size 415cc. Gel implants run smaller than saline so the gel 415cc is comparable in size to the saline 300cc, just a little less wide and more full. I had the procedure done on 2/19/2021 under local anesthesia (I try to avoid general anesthesia at all costs) and while it did get slightly uncomfortable at times, I think it went well and only took about 2 hours to complete.

My girls are sitting higher on my chest, closer together and out of my armpits. They are SORE. AS. [RS bleep]. but I expected as much and just take Tylenol and arnica as needed for the pain. Overall, I would definitely recommend this if you're dealing with the same situation I was. I plan to take it easy on chest workouts for the rest of my life so hopefully these ones will last longer!

Still waiting to see the final results (nips are a little off center and my implants are very high) but I'm still happy with this look compared to the last. I didn't see many reviews about this procedure so I wanted to provide as much input as possible. Hope it helps!
