My Saviour
I am eternally grateful to have found Dr. Brenner and his amazing team. I don’t usually write reviews but I feel you all need to know that Dr. Brenner is not only a gifted and amazing doctor, but also an extraordinary human being.
I had given up hope and was stymied by the lack of help from most of the medical community. I suffered for months with unexplained rashes, loss of feeling in my fingers, burning skin, neck pain, back pain, purple legs, jaw pain – you name it, I had it. I had every test under the sun done at every type of doctor you could imagine and no answers until finally all fingers point to my implants being the possible cause. Horrified at the realization that I had these things stuck in me that were making me sicker by the day, I was desperate to get them out as you could imagine. Yes, it’s a thing and you need to be aware of it – it’s called BII (breast implant illness). To make things worse, my particular implants had been recalled and neither the manufacturer nor my implanting surgeon had notified me, so of course I wanted a new doctor.
During my protracted search for answers, I found Dr. Brenner. From the moment I was contacted by Dani on his team, I had a good feeling - she understood that I was getting sicker by the day and worked her magic to get me an appointment. Subsequently, I was contacted by “The Amazing Amanda” (yes, you have to say it that way because its true) from Dr. Brenner’s Breast Team. I cannot tell you how much comfort and knowledge she provided. She is so knowledgeable about BII that for the first time, I felt like I wasn’t crazy and that there was a solution to all my misery.
I went to my appointment and met Dr. Brenner. He was everything you want a doctor to be – honest, informative and actually cares about you the patient. Don’t let his quiet demeanor mislead you as a lack of care or interest; he’s focused on you and your situation. He also will not over promise but he will over deliver.
Once my explant surgery was booked, Dr. Brenner’s Team (Amanda, Jihan and Dani) provided compassionate care for me the entire way and I should add, are still caring for me. Amanda on the Breast Team continues to guide my healing process.
My surgery went smoothly and the surgical team was awesome. It’s almost been 6 months since the explant surgery and things are going great. Not only are my BII symptoms starting to go away but my breasts look way better than I thought they would.
