It's been almost 3 months since surgery & while it feels so good to have the implants out, the healing process has been a mess.
Surgery went fine, pain was minimal for the most part. The most painful thing was the drains.
My scars have opened in several areas on both breasts. By the time one place heals, another opens up. I've been through an additional round of antibiotics, but still having problems.
The size of my breasts are relatively even but the scar on one is off center and the nipple appears somewhat lopsided especially in comparison to the other. But I understand that can sometimes happen, so not a huge deal.
The staff was nice and again, having the implants out is so nice, but overall I'd definitely say I'm not that happy with the results. Especially considering the cost of procedure and cost/time to travel to have it done.
Appearance : 3/5
Recovery: 2/5
Overall: 4/5 mainly because the doctor & staff are and make you feel comfortable especially if you're nervous for surgery

Sorry you’re going through this. Do they know why this is happening?

I am 9 weeks post ex/plant and though not as severe as yours, both breasts look red raw down the anchor scar despite moisturise as advised. I’m sure it’s linked to the Micropore tape as I had to buy the chemists own brand when I ran out after surgery, and this seemed to stay off the reaction. Unsure where to turn to next as my surgery place can feel quite dismissive.

Hi, I'm sorry I've just seen these comments. I went to Dr. Dev at Aqua Plastic Surgery.

Breast explant, lift 9 months PO - problems with bleeding, healing & aesthetics

2.5/5

I had an explant with a lift done with Dr. Dev in Jan. 2022 - so this review is coming just over 9 months post op. First I’d like to say that Dr. dev & staff are nice people, no complaints there. Second, I am happy that the implants are out and the size and shape of my natural breasts is back to my pre-implant look. However, it’s been over nine months and I am still bleeding from my scars, and the scars themselves look terribly uneven, lumpy, and just overall an eyesore that will definitely have to be fixed. I reached out to the team several times over the past nine months to share my concerns and was given an additional round of antibiotics (which didn’t help) and then finally told that my problem was that I was allergic to the sutures. Dr. dev did offer a revision surgery in which I would only have to pay for anesthesia, but when I tried to schedule (more than once) I was told that it would be at least 8-12 months and that I couldn’t be put on the schedule due to a shortage. I sought out 3 additional opinions. These three surgeons told me that this issue was absolutely not an allergy related issue, and that I needed to have an additional surgery to fix it. All of which would be able to get me in within a month and that none of them had issues with shortages. I’m not accusing anyone of being in the wrong here - just sharing the information as it was presented to me by all doctors involved. But because I’ve had such problems with bleeding, healing, and aesthetics, and because I can’t get in anytime in the foreseeable future, I’ve subtracted 2.5 stars. If I had a do-over, I probably would have gone somewhere local for a more reasonable price. (Keep in mind that I traveled 8+ hours & paid for a week at an Airbnb to do my follow up so my expenses were greater than someone who is local to the area.) Again, everyone is really nice and I’m sure my issues are in the minority, but I felt an honest review was necessary.
