Dr. Leonard is in a League of His Own! 100% Recommend

WORTH IT
I Love Dr. Leonard! He performed a breast explant with lift on me in August of 2020. I had under the muscle saline implants put in (in Arizona), over 20 years ago.
Dr Leonard: My first thought is to say how incredibly compassionate and professional Dr. Leonard is. He made me feel comfortable, at ease, and happy with my decision. He listened to my concerns and answered my questions with the grace and skill of a very accomplished and experienced surgeon. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I can't say enough good things about him. He is real and approachable and that is rare for this industry.
Surgery: The surgery was easy. The surgical center was top notch and very clean. They had videos of puppies playing in the lobby (surprisingly soothing!) and the staff helped to ease my nerves about having a surgery during the beginning of COVID. The staff was actually incredible helpful here as well and made my surgical experience and recovery so smooth.
Recovery: I highly recommend the Exparel if you have the option. I had minimal pain compared to the implant surgery. I had no complications. The office staff answered all of my questions whenever I called in--which was more than a few times. They made me feel safe and listened to, even though I was probably more of a worrier than was warranted.
End results: Perfection. I love my body now and am so glad to be rid of those implants. 25 years ago, they were an impulse decision. As a mom and person in my 40's, implants were highly impractical and uncomfortable. The first thing i noticed when I woke up from surgery was how much better I could BREATHE. Seriously. Taking a deep breath was so amazing! I did not know how restricted I was from taking a nice, deep breath. The explant surgery was a huge weight was lifted off of my chest--literally. I am now able to exercise more comfortably and I can finally sleep on my stomach and side again. My posture has improved and I have less headaches.
And let's talk skill. Dr. Leonard is in a league of his own! I think that my breasts look better now than they did in my twenties. The scar below the nipple has faded nicely after one year and the scar under my breast is hidden where my breast falls. You can definitely see it when I lift my arms over head, but to be expected. I find it to be a good reminder to love myself as I am, imperfections and all.
I chose to get the explant with lift, as I had sagging from the heavy implants over the years and did not want to go under anesthesia again if I changed my mind down the road. Dr. Leonard helped me weigh the pros and cons of lift/no lift. There was no pressure at all from him to do the lift.
I am 100% satisfied with my outcome and would recommend Dr. Leonard with no hesitations.

Updated with pictures. Not sure why I have to use 200 characters for this update to post but you can see that Dr.Leonard is very skilled. I should update now, almost 2 years later. The are less swollen and natural looking. So happy with them!
