I was thrilled with the idea of enhancing my boobs with my fat!

I’m a 43yo single mother with classic small-boobs-pear shape and am too immune-reactive to consider implants. At 38 I was diagnosed with auto immune conditions leaving me partly disabled, 15kg heavier with meds, was in lots of pain and was depressed. 2021 was the year to turn it all around and prioritise health, lifestyle and my self esteem! I came across fat grafting when looking at shape-wear of all things (BBL & BFG garments), and was thrilled with the idea of enhancing my boobs with my fat! I researched a few Sydney surgeons, and Dr Choy popped up repeatedly. From the initial consult, Dr Choy and his team were 5star! All the lovely lady practitioners have the caring touch, and Dr Choy brings the “direct, but fair” approach which creates a great rounded experience. We’re all full of hope and fear when we walk in the door, and Dr Choy levelled this out and coaxed me back to reality. Though I'd already lost 8kg, my goal was to lose another 6kg before surgery to get back to my pre-disease weight. This would make things a little harder for Dr Choy (more donor fat more probability of success), but he understood my journey and worked to adjust my expectations without over promising. He was very mindful of my health conditions, not wanting to add unnecessary stress on my body. I tried to leave some extra fat on as a compromise, and I’m glad I did in the end.

The surgery was at a lovely little private hospital, though with only one receptionist admission took 50mins even at 5.50am. Once inside everyone was incredibly caring, busily prepping and expertly reassuring me. Dr Choy seemed totally in his element which filled me with confidence too. The anaesthetist Dr was quite funny and within minutes I was smiling and asleep under general anaesthetic. I woke with my compression garments on some time later and felt tender but comfortable, a bit nauseous but so excited!?The first week of recovery was tough as expected, and within two weeks I was back to all my normal daily activities. I’m so thrilled with Dr Choy’s work! He has balanced out my pear shape considerably with even lipo to flanks, abdomen and outer thighs. Immediately my breasts were fuller with noticeable cleavage (though as expected this reduced a bit after swelling). But I still love their new shape and feel like everything has been so worth it!

I’ve come to realise that no one can tell you “how” to love your body; it’s a deeply personal relationship that changes over your life. Before having kids it was hard to justify PS, along with with the financial cost. But at this age my attitude is very different. With this procedure, I am so much more proud of my shape and my self esteem has greatly improved. I did it to spoil myself and I do indeed feel very spoiled!!
