Service provider:
- Dr Chia Hui Ling and Phyllis (SW1 Clinic Paragon)
Ok so I'll try to structure this the best I can I literally just came out of surgery a few hours ago lol. My experience with SW1 and especially Dr Chia was stellar *Lady Gaga talented brilliant incredible amazing gif* nothing her other patients haven't said. I love her so much she's so patient and meticulous and her sense for aesthetics and proportions is wow... At first she recommended 285cc for a more discreet look, but I wanted big honkers so we increased it to 300cc and finally 300cc/340cc in the 3rd consultation (the max she recommended for my small ribcage was 340cc but she said it wasn't ideal for my left larger boob – your nipples could end up pointing outwards away from your sternum and you'll have bad sideboob). This asymmetrical order from Motiva added 500SGD to the total cost. I'll give a breakdown of the bill at the end of the post.
The night before and the morning of I was given a chlorhexadine gluconate irrigation solution to pour over my chest to disinfect it. They said to just pour it on yourself but I rubbed it a little into my skin just to make sure, especially on the underside where the incision was supposed to go.
Day of, make sure to give the anaesthetist/staff a comprehensive list of any medication you're allergic to (in my case, aspirin/NSAIDs/naproxen). The nurse asked if I'd taken arcoxia before and if I had any side effects from it. To be extra sure, you can WhatsApp the number on their website to ask what painkillers they offer and try to recall if you've had an allergic reaction to them. They reply really quickly (just try not to message them after office hours/during the weekend... work life balance lol) and they're really friendly! They were happy to clarify any doubts or explain things when I asked.
The surgery went well and Dr Chia seemed pleased with the results. It took an extra hour because I'd requested a nipple reduction as well, and that slapped on another 700SGD for anaesthetist fees. Immediately after waking up I was super groggy, but within the hour I could sit up with no main and minimal soreness. I could get out of the bed to pick up my phone that I dropped lol. They gave me some tea and sugar rolls to eat. After sitting around for a bit to make sure there wasn't any dizziness or nausea, I let the nurse know I was ready to go home (they sit right opposite your observation bed, just wave at them).
I'll update this review in the coming days! Super excited to see how I heal. If you guys have any questions I'll do my best to reply, but even though I'm interested in medical stuff and know a little bit about meds/precautions the best to ask is still the SW1 staff :)
Bill breakdown (all in SGD)
Consultation fees: $180 flat rate (I consulted 3 times...sorry Dr Chia)
Nipple reduction: $2,000 ($3,500 alone)
Breast augmentation: $15,000 (prices might go up in future, Jan 2021's price was $14k :( )
Asymmetrical implant order: $500
Covid surcharge: $120 (safety equipment for staff during surgery)
GST: ~$680? oof
Yeah I think that's it! I'll update in a week from now after I see Dr Chia, and subsequent checkups every 3 weeks or so :)
