How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Do NOT WASTE Your Money

The office is nice and everyone is friendly until they get your money. I went in for a lift and breast augmentation in October 2020. I had 5 consults with different doctors before I decided to go to Dr. Cheng. He assured me he could achieve my desired results. We consulted and agreed on an implant size. I had done plenty of my own research but trusted his professional opinion. Dr. Cheng as well as his nurse asked if I was afraid to be too big or too small, I told them I was afraid to be too small, if anything I wanted to be bigger.
Surgery went smoothly, then a day later I was able to shower and remove my bandaging. My scars were far larger than what was explained to me in consultation. Also, I immediately saw that my breasts were considerably smaller than preoperatively.
At my post op appointment I asked Dr. Cheng what size implant he put in, he answered 425cc. However I never received any information or record of the implants (medical devices) that were put in my body, even upon multiple requests.
Dr. Cheng knew I wasn't happy and communicated to me that we would develop a plan to remedy the situation. He told me that he wants me to be happy for the money I spent. I felt relieved and was told to wait until I healed to modify the scarring. My scarring is so significant that it runs from my sides to my chest bone, and has an asymmetric dog ear on one side that is visible through clothing.
I was told that this revision was going to cost me another $8k, I contacted his office to see if this was negotiable because of the amount of money I had already spent, and because this was a mistake on the doctor's behalf. I was then told not to contact his office via email anymore because of the sensitive nature of the context. This was insulting to me because I was told by his staff to send topless before & after photos via email. It was obvious to me that Dr. Cheng and his staff did not want a paper trail of communications with me.
I drove the 2 hours back to his office for an in person consultation, which ended up being with Dr. Cheng, Jennifer (scheduler) and Stacey (office manager). It was very intimidating to be half nude in a room with 3 people from this office. Obviously they were trying to bully me into paying the additional $8k.
Jennifer and Stacey eventually exited the room and came back with a new quote. They told me they "fudged" the numbers to lower the cost if I had surgery at a surgery center instead of their office. They openly admitted to me that they were being financially deceptive. This further decreased my level of confidence in this office.
Throughout this process Stay was extremely condescending and unprofessional, she refused to call/email me back multiple times. I consider this medical neglect as I was still freshly post operative.
I have been lied to countless times by Dr. Cheng and multiple members of his staff. My overall experience here was completely traumatic and I would never recommend this office to anyone I care about. I will now have to deal with the repercussions of having a
botched surgery for a long time to come.
