9 days post op
Nurse very carefully peeled back the layers of tape and steri strip dressings and Dr George checked in on the results. I was so anxious as you read so many things that can go wrong but healing nicely and love the size and shape already. Had a concern that one side looked lower/ higher but was told this should level out as they settle in the coming weeks. Due to the bigger implant going in the smaller side would cause more swelling, than the smaller implant going in the bigger side, so the healing on either side will vary slightly which makes sense!
Wearing steri strips now for 5 days and then serum (which the clinic has supplied) and silicone sheets afterwards.
I prepped meals for the first week, and also had everything I needed like crockery/ pans on work surfaces so they were in easy reach and trying to limit arm movement, lifting anything heavy and sleeping elevated on a V shaped pillow to not roll over.
Next appointment is in a few weeks for the 1 month follow up with Dr George.

Breast Aug Motiva 285/300 CC & Areola Lift/ Reduction
Just underwent breast aug surgery with an areola lift and reduction. During consultation we decided upon 285/300CC size, as this was the maximum Dr George recommended in order to not compromise the benefit of the areola lift and reduction. Which seemed like the perfect option to not trade off results.
I’m 5’8/ 175cm, size 8-10 clothing UK and started off as a 32B breasts. Went for 285cc L / 300cc R Motiva round Demi profile, over the muscle sub-facial. I don’t have much breast tissue fat to cover the implants but I use my chest muscles a lot and exercise a lot so this was the preferred placement to avoid animation and also wanted to improve my cleavage (which was wide).
I had some laxity in the breast skin therefore using suitable size implants and reducing the areola, would strike the balance between tightening the skin and lifting and reducing the areola - whilst (hopefully!) not compromising the areola/ scars.
I’m 6 days post op and have had minimal discomfort, which is most likely a testament to the technique Dr George uses. I really expected it to be painful but after the first few days things really settle quickly. Not had any oozing or bleeding at all from the incisions. They are dressed in steri strips and tapes so I won’t see what’s beneath until 10 days post, in order to let things heal. I have incisions under the breast and around my areola.
Took a shower on my lower body 3 days post, baby wipe showers waist up with my hair washed in a salon - if you’re able to I really recommend this. I was up and out for a gentle walk in the park the day after surgery and have been walking every day. Had a pop in my left breast on day 2, which was unnerving but apparently this was likely caused by air (and not uncommon!). Above muscle is prob less painful as 6 days post I’m pretty comfortable, and will return to work tomorrow.
Will continue posting my journey after check ups and post pics incase you find this helpful reading whist researching your own breast aug/ areola surgery.
