How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

From Bad to Worse
Total time spent before surgery: 5 minutes (quick introduction, rattled off chest measurements, doctor glanced at the picture I showed, selected a size, and left).
I wrote a very thorough email with additional pictures addressing what I wanted as well as what I did not want. Some of these pics as well as my comments on them are attached to this review. I’ve also included my before & afters.
Verbatim I wrote: “Since my areolas are larger, my biggest concern is having full coverage underneath and in the middle (cleavage zone)”
Given my results, I do not think Dr. Blagg read my email to Janice. I ended up with exactly what I did not want (and worse). Janice supposedly discussed what I wanted to Dr.Blagg, but I never heard from him directly.
She wrote me a short reply saying “Dr. Blagg thinks 330 m will be fine”. Such a curt answer should have been a major red flag.
But then again, I’m no expert in sizing and do not work with implants everyday so how am I supposed to know what size is truly best?
He’s a skilled surgeon and has extensive experience sizing so I believe he could have delivered the results if he had the visuals that I provided.
Strong possibility that there was no real conversation between Janice & Dr.Blagg because my concerns were ignored. If there was indeed a conversation, I’m shocked that he thought the selected size would be big enough. I understand everyone’s body type is different. That’s the point in taking measurements right? To choose the right size and shape.
Although the ladies who helped size me were patient, they are not the doctor. My recommendation (if you choose Synergy or anywhere else) would be to do your sizing with the doctor himself and have direct communication with him rather than trusting a second party to deliver information.
POST OP:
The anesthesiologist said Dr.Blagg would call me later and the following day. No call or text was received. Not even an email. That made it clear my well being wasn’t a top priority. Later, I discovered my voicemail box was full but even then- no effort was made to call my listed contact to see how I was doing. That made me feel pretty crappy.
Checking on a patient afterwards and listening to their concerns beforehand is what sets apart the “typical” plastic surgeon from an outstanding one. In my opinion, actions speak louder than words. The extra effort to check in demonstrates a doctor’s integrity and consideration towards the patient who put their trust in him/her. Someone who cares about their work & people will make sure the patients are taken care of and satisfied with their results because the results are a reflection of the surgeon’s skill.
In conclusion, I do not feel valued, listened to, or cared about. It seems all I was to Dr. Blagg was a quick paycheck. What happened to taking pride in your work? I’m more embarrassed of my breasts now than before because not only do they have dark scars in plain sight but they are awkwardly misshaped and have a giant gap between them.
Unfortunately, you sign away all your rights. If you “get depressed or don’t like your results” then the blame is placed on the patient, not the doctor.
Everyone else on here has 5 stars, which is why I opted for Dr. blagg in the first place. I don’t know why they experienced phenomenal care from him and I didn’t. They dropped the ball with me from start to finish.
But maybe my experience can save another woman some trouble and $$$$. I worked 3 jobs in order to save up and was excited to be one of those 5 star reviews but unfortunately this was not a positive experience. I think the pictures speak for themselves/help back up why I’m disappointed.
In conclusion:
Long wait times for every appointment 20-40 minutes each time. Surgery day was quick.
Bedside manner was ok. Polite/basic decency. Dr. Blagg seemed like a genuinely nice guy. But maybe that was feigned/just part of the job.
He stood and did not sit down to talk with me about what I wanted. He left the room in a matter of minutes. In my opinion- Way too quick to truly understand my wants and measure correctly. But again, I’m not the expert. He was polite and confident he could deliver the desired shape so I overlooked these factors.
***All after photos are of me at post-op 3 months which is when the implant has “settled” into place
