10 days PO and Allergic Reaction

Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to any of the meds or anything related to their surgery?? I broke out in hives 9 days after my procedure. Since it’s been that long and I haven’t used any meds in over a week, I didn’t think it had anything to do with the surgery, but the urgent care doctor said it very well could’ve been a response to a medication. I don’t have any known allergies and I’ve never had hives before. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else? But other than that, I’m still waiting for my right side to drop and fluff. The muscle on that side is still pretty swollen too. My surgeon has me wearing a strap, but it causes a good amount of pain around the incision when I wear it, so I don’t wear it too often. I was feeling a little down thinking it wasn’t going to work out again, but each day that goes by they feel and look a little better which makes me feel better emotionally. I think the tightness of my chest and that they didn’t drop and fluff right away scared me. But I imagine after several surgeries, there’s gonna me more scar tissue and a longer healing time. So I have to be patient. I also had to take a covid test and then quarantine almost 2 weeks before my surgery date (wanted to make sure the results were back in time) so I haven’t been able to do much socially for awhile now and I think that has messed with my psyche a bit too...and now I have a bad case of hives so I still can’t do much!

Hope you are better!! How are you doing?
Despite the allergy, your breasts look super cute in this ten-day po picture. Did it change shape by now? Why you mentioned not to be very happy with it?
They bottomed out. I was planning on doing another review with pics of the bottoming out and the correction, but so far no luck with the correction:( I think my chest muscles are too strong lmao, because they keep pushing the implants down. I don’t even work out like that, I only do light yoga.
May I ask how they turned out? A year ago I got 350cc SRL (low projection) natrelle inspira under the muscle. My before pics look similar to your before and I also had a huge gap between my chest. I now how a double bubble and going to see surgeon next month to talk about what to do
Hi. They’re awful. They’re bottoming out and have double bubble. I’m saving up to see a different doctor in Gastonia, NC who is going to fix muscle and pocket, and replace these implants with Mentor Xtra somewhere in the 355cc ballpark, placed over the muscle with Galatea internal bra. It seems this will address all the issues I’ve been having. Hopefully this will be my last surgery for a long time!! I’ve spent waaaaayyyy too much money trying to figure out what will workout best! I hope you’re able to find what you’re looking for too!
Hey! I just read your review. I'm so sorry you have had all these issues! It really sucks. I know I was so disappointed when I bottomed out after a couple months from my primary BA. I had the Xtra gel implants originally over the muscle. You won't have any rippling with them. And with the added galaflex mesh you should be perfect. Especially because you are going with a normal size so it won't be so much weight on the implants. I personally prefer subglandular placement, but a lot of times they will sit low or bottom out if you don't have the added reinforcement. The galaflex mesh has a really good track record with preventing that. Also, the Xtra implants have a lot more projection. Are you going with MPP or HP? One thing that was important to me was to have the gap in my chest smaller, I'm very dove chested. Take a look at the size charts of the Mentor implants so you can gauge the width and projection compared to the other sizes you had in the past. That really helped me when it came to the issues I wanted fixed. I wish you all the luck!
Hi! Yeah, it’s been rough! I’m glad you were able to get your desired look! I hope I am too, finally!! Were you able to drive with the drains? My surgeon is almost 2 hours away, and I think I’m gonna have to drive myself when it’s time to have them removed.
I’m pretty sure we’re going with 405 MPP. 1 surgeon said my breast width was 13, this surgeon said 12 so hopefully the 405’s will give me more gap coverage. (I have a very wide gap also.)My surgery is in 2 days. I’ve had 425 cohesive gel overs, 10 years ago. They showed rippling/: but I loved the coverage and how they felt, better than unders. Animation deformity sucks! I’m praying since these are overfilled, they won’t show ripples. I literally cannot afford this anymore! So many other things I want to do in life lmao! Please keep me updated on your journey!
**smooth round moderate high profile, not mpp. It’s in between the highest and the lowest profile. I was confused because my doc said 400cc, but when I got home I couldn’t find that size on line, but I just did! I think it’s a new projection size they recently added. I kept my old cohesive gel implants after they were removed and took them to my final consult appt and my doc said the 400cc moderate high profile would best reflect that size.

Dr. Conway and his staff are so kind and helpful. After going back and forth, they all were totally patient with me and all my concerns! Dr. Conway is honest and didn’t just say what I wanted to hear. Dr. Conway, his nurses and the entire surgical team treated me so well and talked to me as if they had known me forever! They all provided a great comfort zone for me! I highly recommend!!

Happy healing to you! And wishing you the best luck this time around!
Thank you! I think I’m healing pretty nicely, but it seems to be taking a lot longer to drop and fluff than my previous surgeries. Maybe from all the scar tissue?? I also got a really bad case of hives yesterday morning. I haven’t taken any medication for about a week, but I went to an urgent care and the Dr there seems to think it may be a reaction to a medication I was taking. I’ve never had hives before! They itch so incredibly bad!!!

Day after surgery

It was hard to sleep. However, I felt way better sleeping upright. It’s harder to get up the more reclined you are. And a tip I have is use your thighs and core when trying to get up or scoot forward. It’s less pressure on chest. I’m a bit more sore today, if it’s not unbearable. I’ve only taken 3 oxycodone (Percocet) to reduce pain and 2 flexeril for muscle spasms in a 24 hour period. Today is definitely a bit more pain, but nothing unbearable. It could’ve been how I was sleeping, but I have a lot of tension in my upper back and shoulders. The girls are looking a little silly, but I feel very hopeful in their outcome! I can’t wait for them to drop and fluff :D

Happy for you!! Hope you are having a speedy recovery
H
Thank you!! I’m still waiting for the drop and fluff. It’s giving me anxiety!! Left is dropping much quicker than right. I went through a bout of feeling sad and disappointed in myself thinking why did I do this again?? It gets better each day as my chest feels less tight and as they drop.
