Almost 3 months post op BA surgery and couldn’t be happier!! Dr. Conway and staff made me feel very comfortable and helped answer any questions I had before and after surgery. Everything from start to finish was a breeze.
Dr.Conway was absolutely amazing! Not only does he have incredible bedside manner, he also is a highly skilled surgeon. He was extremely thorough during my consultation, making sure I knew everything that was going to happen and what exactly all my options were. He also made me feel very comfortable throughout the entire process and always made himself available if I had a question or concern. I am 100% pleased with my breast augmentation. The results are exactly what I envisioned, if not better. I highly recommend Dr.Conway for any of your plastic surgery needs. His nurse Anita is great she is professional and very compassionate.
I had a mommy makeover with Dr Conway. Excellent Dr and it was worth the cost of surgery. Dr Conway is an excellent surgeon very friendly and easily contacted if an issue came up. I would highly recommend him as a surgeon. Follow up appointments are fast and all questions are answered. He so kind that he was willing to travel to our hotel after hours if I had a problem.
At age 50, I had a complete face, brow and neck lift. It had been 15 years and my former surgeon had retired. I asked several friends who looked really good here in Asheville for their recommendation and continually two names came up. Since I was not interested in one of the "life style" lifts but wanted a bonafide face lift like I had in 2000, I selected Dr. Donald R. Conway at the Plastic Surgery Center here in Asheville. Three days since the surgery and I'm coming along just great. Will provide photos in about a month. To date, there has been no bruising.
I wanted to share my journey because I couldn’t find many low or classic profile reviews. I’ve also had 3 breast implant surgeries before and experienced flex deformity with 350cc saline unders and rippling with 425cc cohesive gel overs. I’ll add those pics for reference. I really wanted to have overs, because I love the look and feel they provided, but my Dr. says with having previous surgeries, I have a higher risk of capsular contracture and still the same risk of visible rippling since I don’t have a lot of tissue to cover the implant. So I decided with unders and hopefully the wider diameter of the classic profile will fill in some of my gap! I really just want to have a natural looking full breast. At this point I don’t even care about projection. However, I am really concerned with my risk of animation deformity. My right muscle must be super sensitive because it flexes like alll the time!! I don’t even really have to do much. Updated on 7 Aug 2020: Surgery went well! Staff treated me as if they have known me for years! Props to Dr. Conway and his staff!! I came home with a bandage around the girls and some ice packs that are super helpful for the swelling. They just sit around my neck! I don’t have to hold them there! It’s the little things that make me happy lol! Still high from anesthesia, so there’s no pain! He said there may be some asymmetry until they drop. I was so nervous from my last experiences, but so far, they look like they’re just what I wanted!! Surgery was at 11am, no food or water since midnight the night before. First meal was cheesy green onion mashed potatoes and vegan chicken nuggets!! #starving!! Updated on 8 Aug 2020: It was hard to sleep. However, I felt way better sleeping upright. It’s harder to get up the more reclined you are. And a tip I have is use your thighs and core when trying to get up or scoot forward. It’s less pressure on chest. I’m a bit more sore today, if it’s not unbearable. I’ve only taken 3 oxycodone (Percocet) to reduce pain and 2 flexeril for muscle spasms in a 24 hour period. Today is definitely a bit more pain, but nothing unbearable. It could’ve been how I was sleeping, but I have a lot of tension in my upper back and shoulders. The girls are looking a little silly, but I feel very hopeful in their outcome! I can’t wait for them to drop and fluff :D Updated on 9 Aug 2020: Dr. Conway and his staff are so kind and helpful. After going back and forth, they all were totally patient with me and all my concerns! Dr. Conway is honest and didn’t just say what I wanted to hear. Dr. Conway, his nurses and the entire surgical team treated me so well and talked to me as if they had known me forever! They all provided a great comfort zone for me! I highly recommend!! Updated on 17 Aug 2020: Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to any of the meds or anything related to their surgery?? I broke out in hives 9 days after my procedure. Since it’s been that long and I haven’t used any meds in over a week, I didn’t think it had anything to do with the surgery, but the urgent care doctor said it very well could’ve been a response to a medication. I don’t have any known allergies and I’ve never had hives before. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else? But other than that, I’m still waiting for my right side to drop and fluff. The muscle on that side is still pretty swollen too. My surgeon has me wearing a strap, but it causes a good amount of pain around the incision when I wear it, so I don’t wear it too often. I was feeling a little down thinking it wasn’t going to work out again, but each day that goes by they feel and look a little better which makes me feel better emotionally. I think the tightness of my chest and that they didn’t drop and fluff right away scared me. But I imagine after several surgeries, there’s gonna me more scar tissue and a longer healing time. So I have to be patient. I also had to take a covid test and then quarantine almost 2 weeks before my surgery date (wanted to make sure the results were back in time) so I haven’t been able to do much socially for awhile now and I think that has messed with my psyche a bit too...and now I have a bad case of hives so I still can’t do much!
Great for now. Lying in bed with ice packs. Have a wife who is a nurse and doing a great job. I've had this since about 13 years old I'm 38 now. Seems like the more I exercise and run the more it protruded and was noticeable. I saved up the money. Went to two different docs. Found one I felt really confident with. It was a simple procedure small 1in cut at bottom of nipple, went in a cut the tissue out. Have drain tubes and ice on them. Feel great now that I'm on pain meds. Excited to get to see the work done. I will update when it gets unwrapped. Wasn't a bit nervous, cause I wanted it for years. Being made fun of surgery was fine with me. Even though nobody has. At least I don't have moobs anymore. Updated on 16 Feb 2017: My only update was because I had added the wrong doctor. My doctor was Dr. Donald Conway from Asheville plastic surgery. He was very informative Dr. answered all my questions. He also was able to give me pointers on my planters in my foot. I think picking a doctor is the most important thing and one that you feel comfortable with discussing different issues. Updated on 17 Mar 2017: He did a great job. I ordered a gynecomastia post surgery vest and this has been the best support for after surgery. I am at 31 days past surgery and feeling good. No infection after surgery. I can lift 50lb objects fine. I wear the vest all day and just a compresson shirt by under armor at night. Another week or two and I think I could stop using the vest. He went in at the bottom of my nipple. At first I though my nipple was going to be indented, but as the cut is healing the nipple is coming back to normal.
