2017 sucked royally so I’m making 2018 my b!tch!!

WORTH IT$13,000
2017 was one of the worst years of my life. It started out with my annual pap results coming back abnormal for the first time ever. I had a biopsy which revealed pre-cancer squamous cells. Then had surgery to removed them that revealed the presence of a much more dangerous adenocarcinoma. The end diagnosis was a very early stage cervical cancer. I have two beautiful boys, 3 and 7, and a wonderful husband of 11 years. We wanted to have one more child, but with the diagnosis I had to have a hysterectomy. It was so hard to give up the possibility of another child, but I am thankful for the children I have and know God has given me a very full and blessed life. So, the hysterectomy happened in May.
Then, on October 1st I was attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas with five girlfriends when a horrible evil person opened fire. My friends and I survived, but our lives have been forever changed.
I couldn’t wait for 2017 to be over. So, now it’s 2018 and I will be turning 40 this year. This year I am going to live life to the fullest. I’ve always considered getting implants, but kept putting it on the back burner. Well, I’ve lived the first 40 years with small tatas, why not spend the next 40+ as a bombshell?
I had my first consult last week with Dr. Costanzo and will have a second consult this week with Dr. Schwartz. One of my best friends is having her BA done at the end of February by Dr. Schwartz, and I’ve heard a lot of great things about him. Dr. Costanzo also has a lot of good reviews and another GF of mine had hers done by him years ago with great results. One thing Costanzo doesn’t have is Vector the imaging system, but Schwartz does, so I’m excited to see what it will show.

My current situation:
LittleinLosAngelesJanuary 21, 2018
Height: 5’ 7
Weight: 133
BWD: 14 cm
34-28-39 (I think...I’ll measure and confirm later)
Bra Size: 34D. Sounds crazy right, but it’s actually because of the wide base. I can’t fill the top of my bras, but smaller cup sizes are too narrow and dig into my base. I don’t want to go up in bra size, I’d be happy with the same.
I don’t mind the shape of them, but I want to fill out the upper pole and give them fullness. The top part has always been flat except when I was pregnant or breastfeeding.
I went into my first consult thinking I would want around 375cc HP and had no idea about BWD. Because of my wide BWD the PS says I have to go with a higher cc than I had expected to fill the space. He said it would have to be more than 400cc as the starting point. I’m worried about that making the bra size huge! Anyone else have experience with a BWD of 14 with my build?

Consult #2: So Confused!
LittleinLosAngelesJanuary 27, 2018
I had my second ps consult today and was very impressed with the doctor. It will be a hard decision to choose between the two. I learned So much from both doctors and I’d like to share that with everyone since it’s interesting information.
Doctor #1
It was surprising that they had very different styles and recommendations. The first told me that he almost exclusively uses round smooth implants because he feels that he can get the same look as with anatomical without the chance of it turning and causing issues. He also doesn’t use textured because he doesn’t feel they are as safe due to their association to Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. He prefers to use Mentor, secondary preference is Allergan. He won’t use Sientra/Silimed because of the past issues with quality control and recall, and said that Mentor is the USA and all others are made
elsewhere. I went into my consult with him thinking I would want to go with round a 375cc, but he quickly educated me that because I have a 14+ BWD that my starting point for size is 400/425 at the minimum. He said that he doesn’t like to use sizers or feel rice sizers are useful either. He said that he would want me to bring a couple photos to the surgery of what I want and he would choose the implant and do his best to get me there.
Doctor #2
Today he said almost the opposite for everything! He highly recommends Sientra and doesn’t use Mentor or Allergan as much. Sientra’s new US based manufacturing plant is in the final stages of being approved by the FDA for production and release in the US and then Sientra implants will be the ONLY implant that is 100% made in the USA, all others are either made in other counties or, in the case of Mentor and Allergan, they source materials from other countries and just assemble them in the US. He recommended either Sientra textured anatomical or textured round for me, and said the chances of the anatomical implant turning is very rare in his experience. He wants to use textured verses smooth because he said he will need to lower my crease and wants to make sure the implant stays in place and doesn’t risk slipping down lower over time, or out towards my armpits. He said the majority of Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma cases are linked to the Allergan textured implant, and he thinks it because their texture surface is rougher with more “grab” than the Sientra one. He let me feel both and I could feel the difference. He also said that even though my 14+ BWD measurement is technically correct, he would treat them more like a BWD of around 13 because they are close together and the implants will need to have space between them to make room for good cleavage. If he puts in an implant to fill by entire BWD I would have butt cleavage...not ideal. It’s funny, from everything I have read here seems like most women are concerned about having too much of a gap, and I’m concerned about not having enough! He uses both sizers in office and the Vectra imaging system to choose the implant size. The images are included in this post.
So, obviously it’s super confusing! I think Dr. #1 is more old school in his methods and will probably go with a bigger implant. Dr. #2 is conservative and more cutting edge...he also costs more.
What do you guys think? Any thoughts on the size shown in the Vectra images?

I did a lot of research and chose Sientra. Sientra is a fifth generation highly cohesive implant it is the most innovated implant on the market. This makes their implants very strong and durable yet feel soft and squishy. They are gauranteed not to rupture for a minimum of 10yrs. Their warranty is also the best on the market. They will cover the cost of replacement if you get CC (capsular contractor.)up to $3,500. They have the lowest CC rate of any implant on the market. They are a bit more expensive then other implants but they are definitely worth the extra money. Hope this helps

Thank you! I’m following your progress closely. You look great! you did so much research before hand, you’re going to be my go to person to ask questions. :) you originally chose HP partly due to the smaller BWD, but since both options are open for me I’m not sure which to choose. I’ve seen both look good and bad. I don’t want a lot of side boob but I don’t want a fake look either.
