A truly skilled surgeon. Had my procedure done April 8th. I am literally blown away by the new shape he has given me. I am 5’7 and 148 pounds and still got dramatic results. If you are on RealSelf you are probably anxiously trying to find the right doctor. You have found him.

Hi you had it April 8th of last year?
February 15, 2019
I'm planning on having surgery with Dr. Earle. Can you tell me how was your recovery post surgery? Pain? Itching? Numbness? Did you stay at a recovery house? I'm eager to know, want to have an idea of what's to come. Glad your happy with your results. Would like to see PICS

I don’t want to scare you off but it’s really does hurt. I woke up quivering and was in so much pain that I just laid there crying. I stayed in an Airbnb. It was 75 dollars a night and cost just ten dollars to Uber there. I am happy with my results I will try to post pics soon. It just seems like the pics I take aren’t properly showing my results.

I’m planning on having my surgery done by him March 21 I was told to loose 30lbs first for better results I have 9 more to go very scared that I won’t be able to explain and have him what I would like

He suggested you lose the weight for better results but it doesn’t mean you won’t have good results as you are. 9 pounds is that big of a deal. Don’t stress yourself out. Keep up what you were doing to lose the weight initially. You will be fine.
February 16, 2019
Thank u so much I was 220 he wanted me 190 for my BMI I have one month to do if I have 9 more to loose if I may ask how Many cc did he use on each cheek
March 16, 2019
Hi good job on the 21lbs! How tall are you?
February 15, 2019
Are you going to Avana or Plastic? What was the BMI you were told to be before surgery?
User Avatar
February 16, 2019
I went to Avana. Had the surgery already. My BMI is 23.4 . I am about 5’7 and 150 pounds

When you are told that this is going to be a painful surgery please believe it. I woke up in the worst pain of my life. I cried like a baby and could not stop shivering. After the surgery “you” have to go pick up your prescription. So you basically are in excruciating pain until you take some of the pain pills. I took two of them immediately and after a bit I felt better.
When I got home all I wanted to do was lay down . You are required to sleep on your stomach so it’s a bit uncomfortable but at this point I was so tired I just wanted to close my eyes and sleep.
Get ready for the ‘penguin walk” literally every girl who undergoes a bbl will have a distinct walk. You are in pain so you kinda of just drag your feet slowly with the worst posture lol. This persists to about day three. You are still in pain!
Recovery house? I don’t see the actual purpose for one if I’m being honest. After the bbl you are required to get up and walk a bit and make sure you eat. You will need assistance getting in and out of bed. As for me I did it alone. Slow and steady I would position myself until I could make it off the bed and into the bathroom.
Follow up appointments? You have an appointment with the nurse the next day after surgery , then the following day and finally with Dr . Earle himself.
Massages? He suggest you get a massage the very next day after surgery. Massages are offered at Avana for 100 usd. You can use this service or use an outside service . Some masseuse will come to your home and massage you for 80. I would recommend that.
Ummm what else am I missing? I really want to answer as many questions as I can. But plssss guys read the entire thing so I’m not answering the same questions over again. I’m 7 days post op and still very sore and sometimes grumpy lol
Oh yea I’m sure you have seen so many lists of what to bring for surgery. Listen to me!!! Don’t waste your money. What you really need it a liner for the bed so you don’t spoil the sheets. Gauze and tape for your incisions. Antibacterial soap. A butt pillow for your return trip home. Alcohol pads to clean wounds. What I would recommend is you bring fuzzy slippers to walk around the house with. The house I stayed in had hardwood floors and it made walking around hard. No need to even pack panties. You won’t wear them. I wore a flannel pajama set every day lol . Don’t be like me though. I just didn’t care.
The drain removal. Dr. Earle uses a drain . It’s so uncomfortable. The day he removes it which is about day 5 or 6 depending on the patient. He literally just pulls it out in one motion.
Also ladies I printed out my wish pic prior to surgery so he could see. I know we all have like 20 pics in mind but try to narrow it down to 3 and show him.
The flight back is uncomfortable of course. But try to stand around as much as you can and if you can request and aisle seat when booking the flight.
Hope this helps a bit ladies.

The difference

Here are some pics. I literally had no hips before haha . Dr. Earle filled in the sides of my butt. And really took in my waistline. I’m still very swollen everywhere. In the pic with the green dress you can see the lumps on my stomach through the material. This will happen ladies! Each day I take off my faja my stomach shifts in mysterious ways. It’s so annoying. I’m a week post op exactly and have had two massages. I want to resume at my second week . The soreness is just too much for me right now. But please don’t take my advice and instead ask the doctor. I do promise to keep updating pics though. My next pic will be at 3 weeks post op.

My bbl is 3-7 with him. The only thing I'm nervous about is complications/getting put to sleep? Did Dr. Earle talk to you about that before surgery? Thanks
User Avatar
February 19, 2019
Don’t stress about the complications. Once you decide to undergo any surgery, cosmetic or not you take a gamble on your life. That’s the reality of it. The best you can do is choose a highly qualified doctor. In this case Dr. Earle is a very reputable choice. If you have any concerns about being out to sleep the anesthesiologist will answer them for you. You will be fine hun!

February 19, 2019
Yes I did. I was just asking how many days did you have the drain in and how long was the last follow up visit? Trying to plan my flight. I was told to stay at least 5 days after surgery for all my follow up's.
