Skinny BBL, VASER and ab etching
ORIGINAL POST
BBL Consult
I am so very impressed with Dr Jugenburg and his staff, in particular Nurse Kim. All of the staff were kind, polite and professional. After months of research, today I finally had my consult for a BBL. I am 5’10 and 138lbs but thought I still might be a good candidate for a skinny BBL as I’ve never liked my butt, love handle and lower abdomen area. I even posted the query here on Real Self with my photos and wish pics. I was hoping for a very natural result and certainly not a drastic one. The consult was thorough, professional and it was decided that I was not a good candidate for this procedure. I think this is very important because it seems to be a very common question whether or not someone has enough fat for this procedure. I’m sure I could go elsewhere and someone would take my money and run, so I appreciate the honesty and professionalism shown by both Dr. Jugenburg and Nurse Kim. Instead, an option for VASER lipo of my flanks and lower abdomen area was discussed and I’m excited to go ahead with a procedure with less recovery time that will give me a realistic and achievable improvement in my body.
This is a very busy clinic and they book far ahead for a reason. So while I haven’t had a procedure performed yet, I still feel a review of my experience is warranted because I left the consult much more educated and knowledgeable about what options were best for ME and why. I wasn’t just a number, I wasn’t just a procedure.
Thank you for that, and see you in April.

Day of treatment
Surgical plan has changed! Skinny BBL this morning April 10/19
So in February during a trip down south and seeing photos of me in a bikini, I asked Dr. Jugenburg’s nurse if he might reconsider doing a skinny BBL for me as that was the reason for my initial consult.
My surgery was this morning! I am very well versed in what results are both potentially realistic and achievable for me given my weight. Since my initial January consult I’ve gained 8lbs, so at 5’10 and 146lbs, I’m hoping for very natural results with an overall improvement in my shape. I’m having VASER to my flanks and lower abdomen with abdominal etching. I’m hoping for a more shapely butt, a narrow, defined waist and sculpted abs without these bloody love handles.. I eat a very healthy diet and have always worked out..I did have some abs 8lbs ago!
If you want to see my ( and others) surgery, they are posted on Dr.Jugenberg’s Instagram (#realdrsix ). There is also a link in is bio to his Snap account which last only 24hrs, and mine is the first surgery this morning. The snaps are even more informative as they show much more of the surgical process since the platform is not as strict. (Snap is also linked on his Insta bio. )
Dr. Jugenburg’s social media accounts are extremely educational and completely transparent for anyone considering these (and other) surgeries. He addresses many different pre, post and surgical topics, and I felt very well prepared and informed going in this morning. (N.B. All patients who appear on his social media platforms have given written consent to appear. But Insta and snapping are not requirements to be a patient.)
Wish me luck ladies, my surgery is a secret from everyone except for my fiancé, so any support I can get here would be so appreciated????.
Surgery day is pretty much as I expected and prepared for and my pain is being managed. Hit a little snag when my IV came out during a nap, but I was attended to back at the clinic.. it was nice to walk around a bit!
Staff at this clinic are second to none, everyone is exceptionally kind and competent. Dr.Jugenburg even popped in during a crazy busy surgical day to see how I was doing during my IV replacement.
My next “Novella “ update Day 1 will be tomorrow and I’m happy to answer any questions!!

Hi! Healing well I think, I felt very prepared from watching his Snaps and Insta. Recovery is tough, and I am ‘older’, but I was actually thinking it would be a lot worse. Any concern I have had throughout has been answered very efficiently and also very kindly and respectfully, which is important. My follow up is tomorrow

if its not too personal, how old is "older"?
(im 40, and i had my first round at 37.)

9 Days Post-Op: Pics and video!
Wow. Despite being well prepared, until you actually go through recovery, it’s a true physical and emotional roller coaster. I’m still easily fatigued and this is the first day I haven’t napped! Healing pretty well I think, the only significantly problematic area for pain is my back, but I do have chronic back issues. The pain in my abs and flanks is manageable. I have a few concerns but also understand that my body is still very early in the healing stage and changing every day. Drain is still in and will remain when I go back to work next week which should be interesting. Here are a few pics.. bruising is much better and starting my professional massages this week and I do my own 5 times daily.

Looking great so far! How are you feeling today

April 22, 2019
Thank you! Feeling just ok..still very easily winded and fatigued. I wish I could wear a compression garment for support but everything I’ve tried is leaving dents, which is a problem with VASER and my ab etching. Supposed to be receiving a faja this week and hoping that will help!
