2 Weeks Post Op

I'm now roughly 2 weeks post tummy tuck and I'm feeling pretty good. Some soreness and random pains but overall not feeling bad any more. Every day I get a little more energy. I'm very happy with my results so far. My bellybutton still has to heal and my incision is still covered in steri strips. Even with the swelling that I'm still having and the tightness that is still causing me to hunch a bit, this procedure has made a huge difference to my figure. Totally worth every second of pain I've had over the past couple of weeks! I'm looking forward to the future when I've healed and can get back to working out and finally strengthening my abdominal muscles after all of these years.

4 Days PO

Today I am 4 days post TT, woke up feeling less swollen and stiff than I have been although I fell asleep at 5:30 last night and slept straight through until 7am. I still have one drain, though it's draining far less now than it was so I'm pretty sure it will be removed at my next follow-up appointment on Tuesday. For now I'm just focusing on healing and resting. The weather here has been rainy so when the sun returns I'm going to try to get out for some fresh air.

2 days PO - Not feeling terrible

So I had my surgery on Monday morning, I't now Wednesday morn and I've definitely felt worse. I'm still attached to the pain pump and both drains. I'm going in later this morning for my first post-op visit and I'm really hoping to get a peek at what's under the bandages. When I came out of surgery the nurse said I got great results so I'm optimistic! Doc said he tightened my muscles way up and fixed a hernia in my bellybutton. So far the most painful part of this has been the muscle repair. I can't even feel my incision. I never really regained feeling in that skin after my c-sections so I'm sure that has something to do with it. Appetite is off, probably from the pain meds but overall I'm feeling pretty good. Just tired and sore.

I met with Dr. Swail last week for a consult. He answered all of my questions and explained the procedure thoroughly. We looked at before and after pics and I was very impressed with the results of his past patients. He suggested a small amount of lipo on my hips in addition to the tummy tuck would offer better results but was not pushy about it when I declined. His office staff was happy to provide me with two quotes, with lipo and without. For me, this surgery is about repairing an injury sustained from my multiple pregnancy and I was happy that Dr. Swail respects that. I'm not looking for a 'new body' I just want to repair the one I have.
